I ran into this Shoppers because my fiancé was having an asthma attack in the car. I explained that he was from Australia and doesn’t have a prescription for a puffer. The pharmacist proceeded to look up his name in the system, even after I had explained the situation and his lack of file here. She didn’t want to dispense an inhaler even in a health crisis. I asked her what I should do then. She just stared at me blankly. I’ve put in a report to the college of Pharmacists because there was pure negligence on her part. We were going back and forth as I begged her to remember her training to provide care in emergency situations. I’m a healthcare professional and I can tell you that this particular woman did not uphold the mantra to “do no harm.”

I've stayed across the street from the Shoppers Drug Mart and have shopped here a few times. I've never had a prescription filled, but I can talk to what I can talk to. They have a pretty wide variety of items and are pretty comparable to a CVS or Walgreens here in Texas, except they don't have as many food options. That's a downer, but when my stomach was a little jacked up, they had Pepto Bismol and also Ginger chews which helped get me back on track. Also the staff at this Shoppers Drug Mart are super helpful and super friendly! They also have ketchup flavored potato chips! They have Lay's and another brand I can't recall, but trust me - get the other brand, they are soooo good! Anyway, whenever I've had a question about where an item is, the staff is always quick and helpful to send me to the right spot AND above all to help me through the self-checkout process that has more clicks than than any 5 trips to self-checkout at Walmart or the HEB here in Texas. I imagine that's just how it is, but when you use a credit card at the self-checkout, you still have to sign the receipt. Seems like having a signature pad on the POS device would be a little slicker, but who knows, there's probably a Canadian law or policy from the Canadian Minister of POS's that requires a human signature on paper - you know global warming and all. ;-) But that said, Shoppers Drug Mart is a great pharmacy type store - oh and their prices are really good it seems. I paid much less for Abreva lip stuff than I do back stateside, so that's a big STAR for SDM! I will be back again - I do wish they carried more items like RAMEN noodles or a bigger selection of frozen meal items that can be prepared in a microwave, but that is purely my self-focused wishes.

Shoppers Drug Mart is a big store for drugs, bathroom essentials and cosmetics. They sell greetings cards too and there's counter for Canada post as well inside the store. Health Prescription counter is there inside where you may consult for your regular petty health problems. Prices are ok and there are self check out counters too.

Not so long time was at this location. Store associate was super rude and even aggressive. She started pin me down because I decided not to use self check out and came to cash register, was yelling and giving instruction what to do. It is just awful location. Next time if she does it will take a video and post it online so that everyone can see it!

This review is primarily for the store section (not the pharmacy counter). I’m thankful that as one of the few stores in the area they are open until later in the evening. It’s a regular Shoppers BUT the staff is amazing. From the regular staff to the occasional new faces on the weekends; from the long time employees to young adults. They are real and friendly and always impeccably helpful. In a time when lots of people just go through the motions (and for the pay they receive, I don’t blame them …), I truly appreciate the realness of this store’s staff.

Sadly, the pharmacy has been an absolute disaster since Weingarten stepped away. There seems to be a revolving door of young, inexperienced, uninformed, careless and forgetful staff! Very dangerous in a healthcare setting!• Prescriptions aren't ready despite their having told you two hours before that they were indeed ready and waiting;• They'll assure you that a fax has been sent to your doctor when in fact one hasn't;• Notes that were to have been placed on your file have not been placed on your file, etc.;• Your insurance claim will be a problem EVERY TIME.• They rarely do what they say they are going to do;• I could go on...The few staff who remain from the Weingarten days are very capable, and you're lucky if you get one of them. More often than not, picking up prescriptions at this pharmacy will be an ordeal and probably the worst part of your day.Avoid. There are several other pharmacies in the area. Try one of them.

Highly recommend the beauty counter at this store! They always have everything in stock, including the shades that are often sold out at other locations. I went in the other day looking for help with a TikTok viral drugstore concealer, and the woman at the counter (white, blonde hair - seemed like a manager?) was kind enough to spend time with me and figure out what shade would work for me ? Not my local shoppers, but I'll definitely be back.

I am really not one to complain but man, di I get poor service at the pharmacy here.I've heard amazing things about the newer pharmacy right across the street, the Lakeshore Village Pharmasave. My friend said that they even offered to drive her prescription to her when she was having a hard time picking it up because she was sick. I will be going there from now on.

Terrible , lady at front shore with the purple hair is rude. Yes, we are well aware self check out is a thing now , but it’s not mandatory to pay there. Some of us stillwant the customer satisfaction at the front cash that lacks these days. It wasn’t even busy and before I even put my items down she’s asking if I’m paying with cash.Put on a smile ,and if you don’t like your job go else where !

Ever since Alan Weingarten passed away, this Shoppers Pharmacy has been going steadily downhill.Constant turnover of pharmacy assistants led to all sorts of problems. My prescriptions are literally never ready every month, despite me signing up for their auto-refill both online and in person.Over the last 6 months, I've recieved the wrong amount and/or dosage of one or more of my (four) medications at least 5 times. When I point out their error, I have to wait 20+ minutes for them to fix it.I'm giving Rexall or IDA a try instead. The only conceivable positive about this location is their extended opening hours.

Friendly staff at Canada Post and Pharmacy. Cashiers are usually helpful too. They do not have grocery items or fresh foods here. Aisles can feel a bit squishy but it has everything a normal shoppers would be expected to have.

Update:I was just there to drop off a new prescription, but decided to change my pharmacy instead. The female pharmacist does not care about anything else other than organizing her stuff, happened exactly three times. I was just there at the counter, she just ignores me. Even after I call for help she would say with an impatient attitude “yeah I know, just give me a minute”. The pharmacist who was here previously (might be the owner) is very thorough with customers. Even when he’s busy he will at least acknowledge that he knows someone is waiting. Very disappointed with the change in pharmacy staff.Old review:Great and friendly staff! I have been coming here for a few years and always receive great service. Pharmacists here are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I feel lucky that this is the drugstore closest to us.

Horrible pharmacy. Young female staff behind pharmacy counter treat customers with no empathy, compassion or confidentiality. They act like they are on a school yard.
