Good morning,
I was at your Sherway store on Tuesday October 22nd, 2024, at around 1pm in the afternoon.
I made a purchase almost of $800.00 The sales associate Tessa, was so helpful, patient and kind. She helped my get some Christmas gifts together.
I purchased 4 Ralph Lauren track suits and 4 pairs of New balance running shoes.
The toddler boy running shoes that I purchased, had a sticker in the shoe that was $74.99. On the actual shoe there was a red tag indicating the shoe was 20% off. When I went to cash, they were telling me the shoe is just $74.99- they called a manager by the name of “Tim”, who is the most unprofessional , arrogant , rudest sales associate “manager” I have ever met while in a store. I simply asked him why the shoe wasn’t further mark down? There was not an original price tag in the shoe- so to me that was VERY misleading. He was aggressive with his response and certainly a terrible representation of Sporting Life. I feel bad for the associates working in the store the way he was even speaking to them. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Got my first Cannondale Gravel bike from the Sherway Garden store. The bike team service and advices were simply AMAZING. Big thanks to Tim, Josh, Mark and the rest of the team.

This branch of Sporting Life is in a high end shopping mall. I’ve been to this branch in the past and it used to have good customer service.
In my recent visit (few days ago), security agent at the branch walked over to me the minute I entered the branch and asked “are you here to do shopping?!”. I couldn’t resist myself but ask this immature agent “what do you think I’m doing in here?!”. This type of question itself shows the discriminatory behaviour. I’m a Canadian citizen, I found this treatment purely based on racial profiling as this is the first statement came out of agent mouth while no such question asked to any other customer entered around the same time. Very disrespectful and immature.
Now, I was told to leave the bag at the counter and I’ve been to this branch in the past, no such rules or behaviour. Same day, I visited multiple outlets including Zara, sportscheck, Hudson Bay etc .. no such treatment or behaviour.
I chose to leave than shop at a place where you are treated like a thief then expect you to still continue to shop is mind boggling.
I would never recommend this branch or sporting life in general.

Poor management and customer service.
We were going to purchase a bike for my daughter and they labeled, not one but two bikes, with wrong price tags. They would not honor it and would rather not make the sale not a discount. Bad business.

Prices are wrong in-store, they don't honor the physical stickered prices on their products. Then prices are higher when we go to check out. All the store manager has to say is "sorry". Store management needs to evaluate the accuracy of their products in-store, borderline FRAUD.
It was a terrible experience, cause I was going to buy the bike for my daughter, now that they didn't honor the price my daughter was disappointed in the shopping experience at sporting-life sherway.
Will not be returning to sporting life Sherway.

Security claims to have a "no-masking" policy and harassed my friend to prove a medical condition in order to wear her mask and threatened to remove her from the store if she didn't comply.
Hopefully management can explain this behaviour as it seems like a place I wouldn't want to shop at if security is going to harass customers.

I came to this store on a Saturday morning and it was not very busy. It has a great selection and helpful staff who assisted me in finding what I needed.

Mark from the bicycle section at Sportinglife was super kind and helpful. He answered all of our questions and we didn't feel any pressured to make our decision at this shop. I'm definitely recommending this store as long as mark is there. Also the people behind the front desk and the cashier were super friendly and helpful

Bad management and staffing. Store is so concerned of shoplifting, they make good paying customers feel like thieves. Security guards roaming around. Only allowed 4 products in change room at a time and won't allow you to bring your bags from other stores into change rooms. So while trying on Sporting Life security tagged goods, the customer has to risk having their no security tagged goods stolen from a badly managed store that clearly has security issues. How does this make sense? Figure out your management to treat your customer properly or sooner or later you'll join the club of bankrupted stores. In the meantime, I'll choose to shop elsewhere... Atmosphere, Acteryx etc.
