About Alliston & District Humane Society
The Alliston & District Humane Society (ADHS) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization that provides shelter, adoption services, and animal welfare programs to the communities of south Simcoe County. Operating out of a 3600 square foot facility, ADHS prioritizes the care of stray, abused, and neglected animals, offering them a safe haven and the opportunity to find loving forever homes. The dedicated staff and volunteers at ADHS are known for their kindness, patience, and genuine concern for the animals in their care. They work tirelessly to match adoptable pets with suitable families, providing support and guidance throughout the process. ADHS also operates a lost and found service, wildlife rehabilitation, and humane education initiatives to promote animal welfare in the region. Volunteer driven delivering life saving care, help and hope to as many dogs, cats and other pets as they possibly can. Grateful for all they have done and continue to do!

They are absolutely amazing!! 100% would go back for an animal, also thinking about volunteering there because of amazing they are! Such a lovely team of volunteers and such a loving space for animals and people!
