I love used book stores and have been to this one twice. I won’t be back, for two reasons. The books are way over-priced compared to all other sources and the owners have an arrogant approach. Only possible when you’re the one game in a small town.
While there are few interesting, out-of-print Astrology books, they are 3 - 4 times what they would cost from ALL other sources, including shipped directly to your house!
When I mentioned it to the owner, she went on about the costs of running a store (in Fergus!). Please! It costs more when books don’t sell because they are too expensive! The same unsold books are there six months later. The book I bought, six months later, was still available because it was way over-priced.
It’s a cute store and the drive to Fergus is always enjoyable. But a dismissive owner lecture is never welcome and an education in greed is not needed.

Such a lovely place run by two very well versed and knowledgeable people! They helped me in a crunch with a lovely idea for a graduation present. Could have never got that level of service with a big store. I share this bookstore with many since it is like something out of a movie! Quant and full of magic!

Walked across town when they said they were open and always closed. Waited 20 minutes out front. Can't even follow their own schedule so I'll buy online from now on. This is why people don't buy locally anymore.

Tucked away on St. Andrew St. W is The Bookery - a wonderful used book store with a large collection of used books, Celtic jewelry, and other neat objects.I spoke to the lady behind the counter once and she said that there are over 20,000 books in the store - and I believe it.Everything is arranged in sections that are fun to browse and it feels like you're stepping into another world (or into a movie) as you do so.Scattered about the store are various trinkets and treasures, including some interesting metaphysical wares that you might want to take home with you.Over the years we have purchased books, some leather journals, and other fun decorations (like a sheet metal sculpture of a garden fairy silhouette).We always love visiting this place and encourage anyone visiting (or driving through) Fergus to stop in and enjoy the ambience and selection.

It's a great local bookshop right in the middle of main street Fergus. They sell all varities of used and rare books. You'll have a fun time searching the maze like twists and turns of shelves full of books. They also sell other assorted gift items. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful.
