Hours: Maxwell Meats & Co Ltd is an unassuming but exceptional butcher shop in the Blue Mountains and Beaver Valley region, a short detour from highway 10. It is known for really quite outstanding and superb quality meat at very competitive prices. The beef, including tenderloin and steaks like Tri Tip, is as good as you will get anywhere, cooks perfectly, and slices like butter. The store offers a wide range of store made sausages and marinated meats, such as herb and garlic and peppercorn steaks, which are consistently described as outstanding, awesome, and perfect. Their chicken is amazing and considered the best, while the pork loins and hamburg meat are also highly recommended. The shop has a great frozen selection, including bulk bags and single servings. Staff are very informative and provide interesting suggestions on how to cook certain cuts. It is a great place to get meat and well worth a visit or an extra drive.
