I went there many years ago and loved the store. Not present day however. Myself, my sister and best friend went together. The man would not let us pass him to view the yarn until he had given us instructions on where each type of yarn was located. We weren’t able to talk amongst ourselves and discuss projects we wanted to make without him interjecting his opinion. When we left, all of us stated how uncomfortable he made us feel and sadly, we won’t ever be returning because of it.

My favorite and only place I buy my yarn. Biggest selection hands down. And the owner is always helpful with choosing colors.

To be quite honest, I am not interested in yarn, nor do I have any connection to it other than the wool shirts I’ll ever where.I am a developer and technical person.I answered an ad posted by the owner of this store on kijiji. He was looking for someone to “remove negative Google reviews”.I spoke with him on a call. Then had to go crunch numbers and then called him back.Would you believe, he was even rude to me? He apparently was busy and had customers and he actually got angry at me for calling him in this time. There to help him, and he bites the hand that feeds him. Jack MacGregor is one real low life business owner. He ain’t even a corporate big wig — he sells yarn to women. But he feels like he can yell and scream or belittle anyone in his path.I can believe there are employees that need a job so bad that they will go work at Roses Fine Yarns full time. And by the looks of the newest Reviews in the past few days, clearly he hire an Indian developer to add positive review…. Just look at the names of the posters :)Jack…. Stop treating the world like it is your own personal toilet. You are a disgusting human being. This very review will be watched. If I need to repost it over time, or if it become invisible on your reviews, better believe I will repost it.DONT SHOP AT THIS STORE.

The owner even helped me carry my yarn haul. Now that's what I call top-notch service.

I've never seen so many yarn options! It's like a candy store but for knitting.

My wife recently shopped there. She could not believe how rude and condescending the owner is. She said he is a real prick. She will never shop there again… why, because she doesn’t need to shop somewhere where they will make you feel less of a person. The guy who works there needs a lesson on customer service, and human interaction. AVOID THIS YARD STORE!

I went into the shop seeking wool for a historic mens capote cap. I explained this to the gentleman behind the counter and he led me to a set of wool and said "This wool is made in Canada, and is real wool, 100% accurate to the colours and style used in the 1840s, correct colour, and texture for your period accurate capote cap". I was very grateful for his quick knowledge on the subject of historical clothing. He even gave my Service Dog a treat!

I began to knit because of this store. Hard to believe that such a great place could be so close to where I live! The selection is incredible, so many beautiful skeins to choose from. While it may seem disorganized inside the store, it's actually organized quite well.Whatever it is you're looking for, the owner is ready to help. When I compare the selection and prices to what you can find at the big box stores, there is no reason to go anywhere else. Their selection is amazing, and the prices are reasonable for the quality they offer

The store is fabulous for high quality yarns and knitting supplies. It’s not cheap to buy but the finished product is worth the price.
