Store exterior and interior was very good but washroom is in very bad shape. They have to clean their washroom otherwise it's very good.
Staff was very polite as well

Just walked out of Food Basics Georgetown without buying a thing. Every package of strawberries I picked up had mold. Where is the quality control?

I go here all the time and the store is usually clean and advertised specials are available. Parking can be a challenge with the small parking lot and small parking spaces.

Price are good, but lately there are a lot of empty shelves including feature items. The parking lot is a tough one to get in and out of compared to other local stores.

Generally ok.There is, unfortunately, a definite lack of cleanliness, which could easily be rectified, if anyone actually cared to do so.There is also a tendency to be "out of stock", on sale items, even on the day the sale starts.There are a couple of wonderful, friendly, and helpful people working there, but, for the most part, the employees are sullen, disinterested teens, who don't really want to be there and who, therefore, don't care about the job they do or the interactions they have with the customers.The milk section is very hit or miss. I have had quite a few "leaking" bags (the lactose free bags seem to be unduly manhandled), and I have had to bring back bags of milk that were sour, well before the best before date, several times (more than 5). Maybe they need to turn the back room or fridge temperature down. I have taken to going all the way down to Metro, to get my milk, now.The latest thing was being accosted by someone who is clearly a professional beggar. It was bad enough dealing with it at the entrance, but when my husband and I were at the cashier, about to pay for our order, the person came right up to us, pushed her item towards the cashier, and motioned for us to pay for it!!!I don't blame the teenage employees, in the least. They should not have to deal with this, any more than the customers should. There should ABSOLUTELY be a properly trained, mature adult manager, at the store, during business hours, putting a stop to things like this.
