Overall happy with our purchase, the service center, and the sales staff. The reason for the three star has to do with our transaction itself. We put the down payment down immediately, and were paying in cash (money transfer) instead of loan. I just needed to go to the bank to make a wire transfer as they don't take cashier cheques or money orders. We got called frequently about the total payment to be processed (it took less than a week as we showed up on a Thursday and needed to go to a bank and bank hours conflicted with work). Once the payment was made--we were essentially ghosted with no updates on the status of the safety and when the vehicle would be ready. We had to call excessively, being left not called back. It took us over six weeks to actually get the RV even after paying for it in full. Granted they had to order a part, but we were not told about anything until after over four weeks of calling. So, great price, great staff, terrible communication.

Great friendly customer oriented business. We recently bought a small trailer and it was like buying from a family. From Johnathan in sales who helped us select the trailer to meet our needs, to Devin who made the sale quick and easy, to Paul in Parts, to Marc and Eric in service getting the trailer ready and explaining its features, and not to forget Manon at reception. I am sure there are others as well, but they all made our experience such a pleasure. I felt confident that they were looking after us from start to finish. I would definitely recommend Ottawa Camping Trailers to my friends and others. Great service.

Purchased and picked up a new Puma Ultra Lite camper from Ottawa Camping Trailers on Labour Day Weekend and was very pleased with the tutorial provided by Darren. He went above and beyond explaining everything about the camper, and even spent a couple hours extra to make sure my vehicle was hooked up properly so I could safely bring it home. Special thanks also to Dave for sticking around and assisting Darren.

We purchased a travel trailer from them last year. A week after we got it home we found rotten plywood in the pass through and into the master bedroom. The whole floor had to be replaced. They were called several times shortly after. They never returned my calls or tried to make it right. We won't ever return there or recommend them to anyone.

I’d like to share a bit about my experience with Ottawa Camping Trailers. We absolutely love our KZ Connect C282FKK. From sales to service, the entire team — including David, Eric, and the sales manager — was exceptional. They were professional, honest, and genuinely a pleasure to deal with. If you’re in the market for a trailer, I highly recommend visiting Ottawa Camping Trailers for a top-tier experience. I confidently rate them a 5 out of 5.
For full transparency, we previously owned a Jayco, and so far, this KZ has exceeded our expectations. Go KZ!

I had brake issues with my Keystone Cougar fifth wheel and needed mobile service to the campground that I was staying in .I have the Good Sam Emergency Roadside plan which was no good to me on getting a mobile service to me. I was on phone all day with The Good Sam people from 930am till about 330pm 13 plus phone calls from me with no good luck from Good Sam and day of my vacation waisted. Ottawa Camping trailers is about a mile from campground called them and they scheduled me in for next Day and Tech came out and fixed my problem.
I called them on my on. Good Sam company was really no help to my situation.
Ottawa Camping Trailers was great to do business with and all people were helpful and friendly and professional. I highly recommend this business.

My gf and I bought a brand new Sportsmen 32BHKLE trailer in early 2021. We have brought the unit back to them 6 times so far to have things fixed on it. Keep in mind we paid several thousand dollars extra for all the extended warranty’s.
We paid a few thousand to have an awning added over the kitchenette, which only worked once and then the battery stopped working. To this day, it still is not working as they had to wait for the company to create new batteries to replace the faulty ones?
When we brought the unit home the first time, it started to rain. We opened the main awning and water was leaking in the joint smack in the middle of the awning on the edge of the trailer. It either was not built properly, or pdi properly who knows. They ended up temporarily fixing that with caulking on one of our many trips. Leaking still today and told it needs to be caulked every year.
The mini fridge in the outdoor kitchen, the plug itself, was not connected which explained why the mini fridge was not working( that was fixed).
The spare tire which is always covered by their cover with name, was completely finished like if someone crushed it and they refused to change it.
The frame, stairs, hitch were all rusted from day one. They had someone can spray paint it right over the rust with a different gloss who I think had never painted before. It looks like crap.
The locks on all compartments are moving in it’s holes
There is water that came in from somewhere created little bubbles on the wall and discolouration on the floor. Yet to be looked at.
We had mice in the trailer 1 year, we had purchased the mice protection as well. They “reapplied” and I never got mice again… the mice did damages to the unit under the TV which they say is not covered under the mice protection warranty. So no physical damages encountered by mice in your trailer is covered it seems.
Every single time I have brought my unit in it was meticulously clean, to come back to filthy unprofessional and always something else to get fixed.
I have tried to discuss with Blaine the GM but he refuses to help more than taking the unit back to fix it. Says it’s normal for a brand new unit to come back multiple times for warranty work.
I owned a hybrid Jayco for 4 years before buying this one and never had any issues with it. It went in once for warranty as the tarp on one of the beds had like holes that looked patched, never leaked, and they replaced it no questions asked and never had to go back.
Now waiting on service to reply as they asked for me to leave the trailer there this week for them to change the battery in the awning but I need to prep for camping this weekend, So I asked for a specific day I could bring it and wait 2 weeks ago without reply. I can’t bring my unit anywhere else close by as they don’t service my brand of trailers
Yes this is a Butler group they almost all are from qc to Toronto. Even some automobile dealers!
There’s more I’m missing for sure but I think this shows the bigger picture

Bought a new trailer last May. Black tank had a leak. 42 foot trailer so no way to pull it, Dealership would not cover travel to fix a manufacturer defect. I had to pump out the belly myself. They agreed to come fix it if I agreed to look after the cost of lifting against my wishes. Did fix it but then wanted to nickel and dime a $50 travel charge. I would look for a more reputable dealer that stands behind their product. These guys will do anything to avoid offering support once you out the door..

Buyer beware!
My spouse and I traded in our 2022 Greywolf for a 2024 Sportsmen. When we went to look at the trailers we were excited to purchase a bigger trailer. Jonathan was wonderful. We go back 3-4 weeks later to do the trade and pick up the new trailer. We were excited…. Well that was short lived.
We picked up our rig on Mar 7,2025. We were advised that the a payment may still come out for our Greywolf. So we planned financial for this in case it happens we’ll go figure the loan came out on April 1,2025 like it was suppose too.
April 25, 2025 I contact the dealership as to get an update when we will be getting our payment back. They told us the bank would send it to us and they never did. We end up calling the bank as advised by this dealership and the bank said we haven’t seen any payments. So now we are on the hook again for another payment on our old trailer. But just wait it gets even better… April 10-15 sometime they posted our Greywolf and sold it!!!! How can you sell a trailer with a lien right? They then told us that the accountant forgot to submit the payment to our bank due to the “new system” the dealership had started. So I was furious! If I am paying for 2 trailers I demand you give me my trailer back because I technically am still paying for it. So we contacted our bank put a stop payment on the old trailer and we’re waiting for a reply from this dealership.
Again sending emails with no response.
April 28, Finally the finance manager decided to call and was explaining he would get in this right away and they will make sure the bank gets the money and send us our money. The apologized and said they will let us know when the trailer is paid.
April 30-May 14, 2025 still nothing from this dealership. My husband called the bank and got confirmation that the old trailer has been paid. We send an email to the dealership telling them we have not received our money from them for our payment and that we would be in town on Saturday and can pick up our check there.
May 15, 2025 - We receive and email that they need to know how much to make payment for I said the amount for the trailer plus interest as you had my money taken for no reason and I’ve been with put for 2 months! They advised me I can’t pick up a cheque ? I explained then why haven’t I received it yet ? They advised they have to mail it out. Again how many more of my hours do I have to waste dealing with this. I am furious I’ve asked the owner to contact me as I would like to speak to him.
The amount of crap that we have had to go through is ridiculous. Be cautious if you want to buy from this company, they own several dealerships
- Freedom RV in Brockville
- 1000 Island RV in Gananoque
This is the same business that owned Leisure days in Kingston.
I am furious and would not recommend after the financial headache we received.
