I am only shopping Canadian now so ditched Petsmart for this locally owned business at The Gloucester Center in Ottawa. The staff are experienced and kind, I have dealt mostly with Emily who has been amazing in her knowledge of Canadian brand dog foods. She knows her stuff and cares about the clients in the store. Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Nicole, the Store manager who confirmed Emily’s choices for me as well as praised her for her knowledge. Nicole even offered to allow my rescue Pitbull/lab to come into the store off hours for the self-dog wash because he is so reactive. Bravo to personal service and customer satisfaction for this Pet Value. You have amazing staff and service.

The staff here are fantastic—friendly, professional, and clearly knowledgeable. I was especially impressed by their return policy: even if your pet has already tried the food, you can return it if it doesn’t agree with them. That kind of customer service really stands out!

Yesterday, I had an amazing experience at your Pet Valu store, thanks to Nicole—an exceptional member of your team. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a genuine interest in helping me find what I needed for my dog.
Nicole's sincere love for dogs, combined with her deep knowledge of the products and her willingness to go above and beyond, made my visit not only productive but truly enjoyable. She patiently answered all of my questions, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure I left with exactly what my dog needed.
In today’s world, it’s rare to come across such dedication and genuine customer care, and I felt it was important to share how impressed I was.

Jona at Pet Valu Ogilvie Road in Ottawa went above and beyond to make sure that I was able to get the discontinued litter mat that was a bonus gift when buying a Litter Genie. They were out of the mat at that store location, so she worked alongside Jade and Rena at the Montreal Rd and Saint Lauren Pet Valu. Even though one is franchise, and the other is corporate, between all three they managed to solve my problem completely and perfectly. Many thanks to all three!

Today, I visited PetValu, and it turned out to be a great experience. My wife and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the store. Since my daughter has cats, this place helped us find out where we could adopt pets like them. The staff was friendly and informative, making our visit even more enjoyable. PetValu is definitely a great spot for pet lovers!

I'm taking care of a puppy right now. Not sure how long, but he's temperamental, exuberant and sensitive.
When I came in to try and get him fitted for a harness, I was half expecting a lot of tears. Nope. The staff was excellent. There were a few breaks needed, but the female staff member working with me was VERY patient about finding a harness that didn't cause the puppy to go on his little tantrums or cause him to freak out and try to eat his leash. He's never been easier to handle and definitely the temperamental nature was partially due to collar walks.
