“We booked this hotel on a whim the day after finishing a cottage rental for a long weekend in Bayfield where we were not quite ready to leave. We were traveling with two dogs and searched this hotel out of curiosity. It was pet friendly and the price was more than reasonable when I called to inquire. We booked and we were more than pleasantly surprised. The front desk/hotel concierge was so friendly and helpful - I recommend booking directly - and was so explanatory and hospitable. The room was beautiful - and very roomy - and we had a terrace that backed onto the Maitland River. It was extremely clean, and had no carpeting. We had a patio door and were able to let the natural breeze in. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood so we were able to take the dogs for a nice walk. The shower was awesome, the bed more than conformable, the TV was at least a 60 inch and a fireplace crowned the room, as well as a minibar, which I haven't seen in a hotel room in ages. A European Continental breakfast is promised in the morning, which we're looking forward to. All in all, we're very pleased with our accidental spontaneous booking! Would HIGHLY recommend!”
