I booked an appointment online and confirmed my arrival time by phone before heading over. I made sure to arrive exactly on time, as discussed. However, when I got there, I was met with no greeting and a strange look from the staff. They then told me they couldn’t accommodate me because they had to leave in 30 minutes, which was incredibly frustrating.
This experience was unprofessional and left me feeling disrespected. If you’re going to confirm an appointment and ask customers to show up at a specific time, you should be prepared to follow through. I won’t be returning, and I would caution others to think twice before booking here.

Requested style: My hair needed a perm as it is very fine. I am 82 and Natalie knew exactly what had to be done. I was from out of town visiting. Since I returned home I have received many compliments! I am sure I will come back in the future.

I got excellent welcome and hair cut by Natalie. She went above and beyond, and informed me of the different hairstyle options that can suit me.
As a black woman, I also have to give the inclusiveness credits to all Smartstyle Salon staff because I entered the salon when I saw Natalie 's co-worker styling a black lady's hair. I had had an experience in one of the Toronto's hairstyle salons before where a staff told me that she didn't know how to cut the type of my hair. From that time on till I discovered SmartStyle Hair Salon, I had been hesitating to get my hair cut from any salon based on that past experience.
I am very satisfied for the services that I got from Natalie. She is very knowledgeable and does her job from her heart.
