Quoted me 40-50% less than dettmer for a minor mechanical issue (wheel bearing). They also fixed my ac for a fair price. They seem fair and trustworthy.

We've visited our daughter at University of Guelph and unfortunately our car started acting weird. I've found College Auto Tech on Google and they took us in right away and replaced the alternator. They are very professional and courteous. Highly recommend them.Service: Engine repair

Honestly, the best auto repair shop I've had. I never hesitate to recommend them, and they've helped me out of many a bind.Top tier customer service, and the mechanics always take the time to explain exactly what is going on, even taking me in to show me what I've managed to break and how I did it.I frequently leave there having paid less than expected. Just good, honest, capable people.

My dad is a mechanic so I grew up around a lot of mechanic shops, and I can confidently say that this is the best shop I've ever been to. The receptionist, Jaime, is so lovely to speak with, responds quickly, and always provides honest quotes for whatever work we need done. The mechanics have always been straightforward and honest about what work is essential and what isn't, and I've never felt like they were trying to rip us off. They are always so fast, which I love! I don't think work done on my car has ever taken more than a day or two. The icing on the cake is that they are conveniently located near downtown Guelph! I've only ever had extremely positive experiences with everyone at College Auto Tech and will definitely be a customer for life!Services: Oil change

I recently had a transmission fluid leak with my 96 Chev truck. I called for a quote and being happy with the estimate I took it in to College Auto Tech for repair. Parts required were difficult to come by but the technician was still able to get the truck repaired and I was back on the road the next day. The best part was my bill was half of what they estimated thanks to the talented technicians. I was very happy with the results and their honesty since they didn't even charge me what the original estimate was. I will definitely be taking my truck back for future repairs.

The best mechanic I've ever seen. They tell you what you need now, what you'll need in 6 months, and they cost everything out fairly. They also finish jobs quickly and go above and beyond to help customers (including towing my car for free once to help me out).
