* I received a survey by email for my recent experience and the link would not work. So I tried emailing back and it did not go through. So I copied my message and wanted to leave you guys a review. Super rude customer service! I will say that some of the staff are lovely, but most of the interactions my husband and I have experienced at Peoples have not been good. My husband and I have always had a negative experience whenever interacting with one staff member, Christine, and we usually try to avoid her if possible. This has happened on more than one occasion, where we have explained certain issues. For example, one time I had a small red thread caught in my engagement ring, which I was hoping could be removed during my cleaning. Christine at first said she didn’t see the thread, at which point another staff member pointed it out to her under the jewellery microscope. Then, Christine told me nothing could be done to remove the thread, which I thought was odd because it seemed extreme to say nothing could be done to remove the thread, when I knew that rings can be sent off to be professionally cleaned. Another staff member ended up sending off the ring for the professional cleaning). We also got the sense that she disregards what you say.Additionally, I have been coming here for my ring cleanings (for about 2 years) and was berated by some of the staff for not having my paperwork with me, which I was never ever told was needed for my ring cleaning (which I have to do twice a year to maintain my warranty) - I apologized and said that I didn’t realize this. It turns out each time I was coming in for my cleaning, the staff were looking up my information, and finding my warranty information manually, and for some reason I was never told to save the paperwork, so I was surprised when I was repeatedly told today I need to bring in paperwork in order to do a ring cleaning, which is fine - I just felt the staff were quite rude in telling me this.I only go to this people’s because of the locations proximity to my home, if possible, I would try to go to another Peoples location where there is better interaction/customer service.

I will never ever go to the Guelph store again the worst experience ever. If you’re looking for jewelry do not ever go to Guelph peoples. We bought my engagement and wedding bands in Owen Sound people’s. And everytime I brought them in for cleaning the staff was very nice and helpful and friendly. Unfortunately they closed. And we moved so we started going to peoples in Guelph. And I believe that store is the worst experience I’ve ever had. We brought my rings in for cleaning and they found a missing diamond and they had to send it out to get it fixed. Didn’t think nothing of it. Two weeks went by didn’t hear anything so I contacted them. Then they said there was a fee no no no we bought insurance to cover such a thing. Then they said the bond number was expired. Finally they said they will cover the cost. Another two weeks went by not a word so I called again. Then again they need the bond # so again I give it to them. Two more weeks so I called again and the same thing. Two months they had my rings I finally got them back. And I will never ever go back to Guelph. The worst experience ever.

I don't have any issues with any of the employees but I do not recommend getting any kinda protection plan. It won't b worth it!!!! Sell me the protection and then tell me I would have to pay out of pocket over 500$ for a repair on a ring that costed us less then 300$. My husband & I have purchased almost all of our jewelry from this store and we'd probably go back but laugh when they try to sell this "protection plan"UPDATE thank u Natalie for helping me out. I highly recommend dealing with Natalie she is the store manager! *****
