Zero stars my unit had water in it and items molded on an inside climate controlled unit and they had no interest in correcting my issue kept saying you have the insurance go thru them to replace the damaged items. We moved out of there.

Had a good experience with Public Storage. Everything was clearly explained to me and the staff were very professional. I didn’t lock my storage unit correctly one night and they notified me quickly so that I could lock it. Thank you!

Have been a customer of the Guelph location for approx 5 years. Recently I have noticed a very strong musty smell when entering the facility. I was moving some items out of my locker earlier this month and noticed multiple items covered in mold. I addressed this with the staff member on site who informed me multiple people had complained of the same issue recently. Their solution was to move me to another unit and reminded me I should have purchased their insurance. No compensation or accountability for not have provided the proper climate controlled service I had paid for. I then informed them I would be removing the items from my unit and asked for a few days to accomplish this. The staff member then informed me if I did not remove the belongings from my unit by midnight I would be locked out. I have now received an invoice for an entire month of service that I didn't use because they were unable to provide what I was paying for. I have now been threatened with collections. I'd go to Someplace Safe down the road if you're reading this.

WORST PLACE, YOU WILL GET MOTHS, DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Don't store your items in the Guelph location on Elizabeth Street unless you want to risk a moth infestation. The unit I was assigned had a moth infestation. The storage facility had moth traps all along all the hallways, and each trap was filled with many moths. I asked if they had an issue, and was told no, even though if you scroll through these reviews, there have been past people who have had this issue, so they have known about this and have not dealt with the issue and are not telling people, even though they know about it. I should have never moved things in here. (I put a trap in my unit just in case). When I came back after one week, I opened my unit to find live moths crawling on my items and had caught more in the trap. See video and pics. On closer inspection, all the edges of the unit were extremely dirty, and moths were on the floor near the front of the unit, in an especially dirty area. I rented a 5'x7' unit, and after measuring, it was a foot smaller, being about 5'x6'. This was something else that was not disclosed to me. I moved out that day. I asked to speak to someone in regards to the moth situation, and now possibly getting an infestation myself, and the staff were not allowed to give out contacts; however, they did mention that they passed along my message, which no one has ever followed up with. I also wrote to the company. I have not heard anything back. Did not receive a refund. EXTREMELY TERRIBLE PLACE, DO NOT GO HERE!!!
