“I had the privilege to volunteer here last summer and must say that while it may look relatively simple, there is an immense amount of work that is put into the food bank and other wonderful events that Eagle Worldwide and The Kingsway provide for the community. It offered me very valuable experience and I was constantly inspired by those who were there to provide help out of the kindness of their hearts because it wouldn’t happen without out them and non-profits have limited resources to work with. I commend the entire team for their strong work ethic and providing essential help to members of the Hamilton community that need it the most. “We took the trolley tour at Hamilton Waterfront Trust and it was such a great experience! The ride was comfortable, the views along the waterfront were beautiful, and it’s a fun way to see the area without having to walk the whole distance. A lovely way to spend the day by the water – highly recommend!”
“The YWCA is a wonderful place that helps women. But I do think they need to re train their male security guards when it comes to boundaries with women and personal space. It is not appropriate for male guards to hover inches behind vulnerable women without their knowledge or consent. It can be extremely triggering for somone who has been abused. Personal space matters. Respect for boundaries matters.”
“this location is mainly for ow and odsp coverage for the people that are in dire need of of some money for help paying rent. don't quote me but I think it's this place that said they'llhelp with a bed aswell”
