Oh boy, where do I even start with Scotiabank? Let's talk about the endless lines first, shall we? I felt like I was waiting for a blockbuster movie premiere, except there was no popcorn, no excitement, and certainly no happy ending.And tellers? What tellers? It's like they've gone extinct or migrated south for the winter. I mean, if I wanted to talk to a wall, I would've stayed home and argued with my Alexa.Now, let's get to the pièce de résistance: the ATM that won't accept cash deposits. Seriously? A bank that won't take money is like a fish that can't swim—it defies the very essence of its existence!As a long-time customer, I've seen customer service go from "meh" to "are you kidding me?" It's like they've taken the 'service' out of 'customer service' and replaced it with a void of nothingness.So, if you value your time, sanity, and the concept of banking as it should be, consider this a PSA: steer clear of Scotiabank. Trust me, your future self will thank you.

Nastiest old manager and woman ever, and you think she would have lotsa manners and empathy cause of her condition, but nope, lotsa times those are the worse ones ever! Those are extremely ignorant, imbecilic and should be ashamed of themselves! ? There should be no gossiping but aren't they too old to gossip?! But isn't this a place of professionalism?!

The staff at Scotiabank Center Mall n Hamilton were so patient, understanding and helpful ro me and my husband yesterday. To the 2 tellers that took so much time and care into ensuring we had what we needed, I apologize for my teary meltdown and thank you so much ?

I have been waiting almost three months for my replacement credit card and whenever I inquire they say "we will email you when it arrives" and they are not friendly about it. I have had to travel twice with no credit card. I honestly don't even think they ordered me one.

This branch just ignores you i book my appointment online and emailed the advisor twice and did not reply even for a call appointment i did not hear from her. Just because i open my line of credit account from barton i have to go there. The branch that i go in upper centennial which they very accommodating can’t access my account they have to sent me to BARTON Scotiabank and i got ignored i just feel like i want to close my account from that place.

Literally the worst customer service of life, EVER. I went to Scotia in hopes of getting improved customer service after dealing with their disaster of a call center in COLUMBIA.... the branch is just as bad if not worse. I literally waited 5 days between responses from them to get a simple restructure done. AWFUL!

review date: november 17, 2020additonal review date: may 4, 2021photo add-on: november 23, 2021customer since: 2007this review is going to deal more with the financial advisors, not so much about the tellers, due to the evolution of banking today since the 80's and '90's.i understand and respect that reviews/banking experiences can and will vary from person to person and branch to branch.overall i have been with scotiabank-center mall since 2007. over the years there have a been a number of advisors that i have dealt with. i notice that banking since the 80's and 90's has changed a lot. some for better and some imo for worse. while i do not necessarily agree with the constant movement of staff at branches, i understand and respect that most of if not all of the younger people want to move up or even laterally in their careers, take on more responsibilities and in turn increase their earning power.that said, one constant thru my time with scotiabank, is that the vast majority of the staff have been helpful, especially during the times when i was in rough shape financially.one-star gets knocked off for this rating, because some of the tellers are good, others, poor attitude and can be territorial.also, there have been occasions where the drive-thru runs out of money at night. in such cases, phone the branch or call center to get reimbursed for ATM charges should you have to go elsewhere.big shout-out over the years for positive banking experiences with the following advisors: brian h.(2007), mike m (2020), raquel f. (2018), syed c. (2012, 2013) shazia (2010-11).i expect to continue to be with scotiabank for a long time yet.bottom line: i would continue using and would recommend scotiabank-center mall branch to others.additional review; (may 4,2021) i would like to thank cameron the bank teller for swiftly assisting and resolving a withdrawal matter concerning the drive-thru bank machine. excellent job done, cameron.
