Went to shoppers drug Mart to do some Christmas shopping. Mika in cosmetics was very helpful and knowledgeable. She immediately asked me if I needed help finding anything. I was happy to have her help as I have a teenage daughter who is difficult to buy for. She went out of her way to show me where everything was and all the different things that they had to offer. She also gave me her opinions on some of the things that she would like for Christmas which helped a great deal. I will definitely be shopping there again. Thank you Mika for a great experience.

Heavy set staff member has a bad attitude. I don’t use the self serve check outs., and staff member gave me attitude because I wanted to use a Cashier check out.Very negative store to use. Nothing but negativity from Shoppers Drugmart staff…..

(Updated- I tried calling the number but it said the number ain't taking calls at any he moment.what do I do this shoppers I go to alot and this is not right at all)Worst store to go to ...it's the closest to me but I'd suggest you stay away. Issue happened today where I was buying item at self check out and I forgot to scan because usually you put it toward the scan it scans and I had headphones on so I didn't hear the beep.the clerk was right over and said that I didn't scan I was like my bad and paid for the item . Then she turns around runs to an employee and starts laughing . I'm like miss it was a mistake and said not like it's coming out you account if I did do it but I'm here everyday why would I steal. Then the other clerk chymed in and said I cause issue everytime . I'm like how.all I'm doing confronting her why she took off right away . And she says she made me embarrassed and I was acting out like what.then she said I made her employees cry . I'm like miss all I said ( this was a year ago) don't put the milk on the chips and she got upset because I said that . Other then that I don't do anything. Then they said well I'm kicked out like how I didn't do anything . They don't like when people point out what they did wrong and I'm wrong for that.so if you want to deal with people who give you issues for no reason then by all means go here. So I don't know how I can be kicked out from a store if the employees where the issue

I often shop at this location and am a regular. I was trying to get 75$ of items to get the 20$ bonus so I was taking a while browsing and trying to enjoy myself. The clerk knew I was doing this and so it was pretty clear I was not stealing but a paying customer. The security guard followed me to every aisle and stood at the end watching me. Every time I moved, he moved. There where other people in the shop but he was just following me. I finally asked him in a normal voice if he was following me and told him I didn’t appreciate it. He rudely did not respond and kept following me. So after several more minutes I asked for the manager and asked why I was being followed. They did not say why and I asked again for it to stop. I invited them to call the police if they had an issue with me. I finished out my shopping, bought 75$ worth of stuff,got my coupon and then left feeling terrible. Really I should not have given any of my money there. Oh yeah the did not call the police as I asked them to. Hmmmm. Terrible way to treat customers.

This is undoubtedly the WORST pharmacy I have ever been to.When calling to make any inquiries, I was put on hold for 15+ minutes.When FINALLY answered, was told my prescription (an inhaler, no pills needed to be counted) would be ready that evening within 1.5 to 2 hours. They did not have it ready until the next day.When I went to pick it up: the 2 people working there were chatting with each other, while the phone beeped with someone on hold (there were no other customers at that time)They always take a while to even acknowledge you are there waiting to be helped.The pharmacy staff are often VERY rude and it seems like you are an inconvenience to them to have to talk to you.Other family members of mine have also had terrible experiences here. Such as rudeness and double charged filling fees.READ THE REVIEWS, they are not lying about the bad service!I will 100% never use this pharmacy again, and have/will encourage everyone I know to avoid it .Other places have nearby have similar or lower filling fees - GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!

My 3 year old niece recently has been sick and started developing a rash and hives on her face and tummy. I raced to this shoppers at 11:00pm. As I went to the pharmacy in the back, there was no customers but there was one pharmacist at a computer. I asked him where I could find children’s Benadryl, he ignored me, I asked again and he very dryly responded “aisle 3”. I went to aisle 3 and noticed two different Benadryls with different age advisories, so to be sure I went back to the Pharmacist and asked if either of these would be okay for a 3 year old. He ignored me again, and when I asked again, I said “is there someone else I should ask for help.” since he seemed unimpressed that I had questions at all. His response to me was to go to the pickup counter and he’d be with me when he’s ready, I responded “I have an emergency for a 3 year old and I’m asking a question that should have a simple answer” his response again was “like I said, if you want my undivided attention, wait at the counter and I’ll be with you when I’m ready.”I respect people’s time, but his demeanour was super passive aggressive and unprofessional. I asked a cashier working at the front if the pharmacist was always this rude and his response was “we don’t get the best reviews about him, I’m sorry about that” him apologizing on his behalf I appreciated. But clearly if this isn’t the first negative comment about this pharmacist maybe the head office should look into this and resolve this issue.

Takes at least 30 min for someone to pick up the phone in the pharmacy and they are extremely rude and not helpful at all. This has been my experience with every single interaction and with every staff member I have spoken to. I don't understand why as I'm always very polite. People's health and medication is a sensitive matter so I don't think this is acceptable.

Just went to shoppers to get a cough syrup, and asked the pharmacist wether its safe to take it while breast feeding, he was just sitting infront of the computer and wasn't even willing to come and look at the medicine that i took from the store, just googled it and said less amount is safe to take!! What in the world, even not looking at the drug and referred that its safe. So irrespectful behavior, and unsatisfactory experience

Employees are clueless and lazy. I bought a gift card, got to my car and realized it was open and the numbers had been scratched off. I immediately went back inside. She asked “did you buy this here?” I replied “I bought it two minutes ago, from you!”She went to the back for ten minutes, then came back and told me to call the 1-800 number and they can MAYBE refund me for it. She said they were open 24/7. I called them and they’re only 9-5 Monday to Friday.She had no concern that the gift card number was stolen, I suggested she look at the other cards because there’s probably a bunch that are like this, she shrugged.DON’T EVER BUY GIFT CARDS HERE!

I've frequented this shoppers for the last 4 years just because I have to.My big issue is the fact that even though some employees will accept debit at the register others won't. I've watched them press tens of buttons on self checkout when they can clearly press 5 to debit someone out. What's the actual point of having a debit machine at cash if you're forcing people to use check out. . . They were not busy. They had nothing to do.... and this gentleman basically forced me to use self checkout. I don't understand the purpose.... do your job as a cashier and cash people out regardless of how they prefer to pay.I miss the older lady on cash who was relatable and very welcoming. I believe her name was Barb. She enriched every visit with her very humble and positive attitude.I've had employees allow me to use my payment of choice at the register however this guy was far less than helpful and literally ruined my entire day. No other shoppers FORCES people to use self checkout so why just this location? ITS GOING DOWNHILL AND QUICKLY

During my recent visit, I noticed that security personnel were following customers to each section they went to, which made me feel uncomfortable. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and not to be subjected to undue surveillance.I understand that security is important, but I believe that there are more discreet ways to ensure that customers are safe. I suggest that you find a way to make customers feel more at ease, such as by providing more information about your security policies or by training your security personnel to be more discreet.

The pharmacist likes to show that he doesn’t care. I waited there for 15 minutes and asked twice if somebody can help me I’m OK with waiting, but when one person direct me to another then get directed back to the initial person, and still nobody wants to help me. I think it was a little too much.The pharmacist then told me that my rash, I can come back later when he has more free time for me.

We just moved to the neighbourhood and have had so many issues with the pharmacy. Several times I've asked for them to do something and nothing is done. We plan on moving to a different pharmacy.

They keeping posting items in stock when they don’t have any stock ….worst shoppers Drug Mart in Hamilton….they post false stock items…..their license should be revised by the head office ….my advice is go to a different shoppers Drug Mart ……this particular location seams to be to only one that misled shoppers…Second reviewMay 23 2023. At 10:30 amAnother day of disappointment…went back this morning to purchase items ( that are showing in stock since last week) it shows 4 units in stock and when I got to the store at 9:30 am there wasn’t any stock…so I went to a different Shoppers Drug Mart location …on Cannon st …and they had stock as described on line…I decided from now I will stop using the 753 Main Street East location…as it seams like Whoever is in charge of stock…are not being honest with shoppers…they just purposely mis inform you to get you in the store to purchase items at a regular price…..I am sure that as soon as the sale is over,the shelves will be stocked up with the items…must comment about the Cannon street location….compared to the Main Street location…it’s like night and day …shelves are neatly stocked….

I go there multiple times a week since moving to the neighborhood 1 year ago. The only 2 real cons is they do not have a bank machine or do cash back and they really try to push you to use self check out. It’s one of the few places I won’t do self check out . Always check your receipt to make sure you got the right amount of points . On seniors day it’s a good day to go.They do have good point specials and if it’s an in store special , take photos so if it doesn’t come up on receipt then you can send a photo of the offer to PC optimum and they will fix. If you like collecting points better to go here then convenience store 1.5 blocks away. If you drive no frills isn’t far either if it’s food your looking for BUT their hours here are til midnight which is nice. Their still cheaper then the convenience store down a block or 2 and you get points and can redeem them for higher value giving you 40-50% bonus if you do it when there is promos. Best one if Black Friday 250,000 points which is worth $250 if you save up all year til Black Friday and for 5 days after it’s worth $400. Bad part is they never let the redemption bonus and senior Thursday 20% off ever meet as it ends on a Wednesday
