If you’re going to price things like fortinos does, owners should really be more on top of things here. No one is ever available to help at the butchers counter. Bought ground meat, got home and realized it expires tomorrow but it wasn’t marked down, peppers were supposed to be on sale and when they rang in differently the 16 year old working had no clue how to help me nor did she seem to even understand the basic math I was explaining (I paid almost $5 for 2 peppers when they were supposed to be 2.33/lb and they weighed in at .360 kg). The food at the prepared area is always stale, the bun on my sandwich last time was literally rock hard. Please adjust your prices or the experience offered. If you want to be a high end grocery store you must act accordingly or you can’t expect your consumer to justify your outrageous prices. Please do better. This is seriously ridiculous.

Twice we’ve purchased bulk mushrooms at an insane price, and twice we were sick after. The second time we brought them back to the store and showed the manager. Hopefully they’ll investigate what’s wrong with them before more people are sick!

I used to visit this Sobeys as a secondary option for odds and ends like bread. Sadly, for years now, they have been participating in price gauging as well. But my biggest complaint is the quality of what they put out recently. For example, that basic grocery store style sushi (known as Bento), Sobeys still messed it up and made their Bento sushi a million times worse. It was disgusting. I had to peel off the seaweed to make it bearable. I spent 13.99 on the salmon combo, and wow, what a disgusting meal. It was the worst Bento brand sushi I've ever had (and my expectations could not be much worse as it is this already the most basic type of sushi sold in every store). The seaweed was foul tasting and smelling. The salmon itself could not be saved by the few rolls which had the spicy sauce on it. I should have went in for a refund but I was about the pass out from hunger. What a disgraceful store, not using fresh ingredients at the bare minimum! What else?Their bakery, snacks, and dairy aisles all are so much more overpriced than most stores right now, and everything "baked" looks dry and burnt. 6 little cupcakes for $8 or more depending on what they feel like charging for icing? Also, shame on you for decreasing the layers on the cakes, as I was going to order a classic one for a birthday, yet I can see how small everything has become and the price has only gotten higher.Disgusting. Better off eating dirt than shopping here. And who knows what they put in the meat to make it look "fuller" while claiming it's on sale.

I like this place has beer it has saved me many times when the beer store is closed. But one time the floor was wet and there was no wet floor sign and I slipped almost fell and someone laughed I don’t think they care about customer safety. I also bought a ROMA PIZZA that was moldy on top when I got home. Also beef jerky is very expensive here

This location has it's ups and downs. I like the wine section in the back, the flowers when they first come in and the odd good sale (if you are a Scene member which I am not). The downs are the produce section, the bakery and the lack of cashiers.

Never has the advertised specials unless you go day 1 of the sale when the store opens. They've been "sold out, no rain checks" a day after the flyer comes out. Have had it happen numerous times. Don't make any special trips to this store for their flyer feature

Stay away from their self-serve hot food area. Way overpriced!! I picked myself a fortinos equivalent large sized wedges to take home. But when I went to cash out, they were going to charge me $21 for it. I immediately told them to keep it, then drove to fortinos and picked their large for $5.99.Save your money and stay away!!!

Today I came to buy at the bakery in the super market and the bakery manager tells me that I have to eat only one baguette per family. Is the supermarket rationing food?

You suck! Big time! Change yours G-damn google maps pin, your garbage of a store isn't on the highway exit. Even if you get to the store, the "fresh" vegetables are anything but fresh. Buncha amateurs running a business.

Terrible store, and way overpriced.Waited 10 mins for an employee to come and help me at the prepared foods section tonight, only for him to be brand new, and not have a clue about the products or pricing. Where was the person "training" him?! I had to flag down 2 other employees who also had no knowledge of this area.I asked a 4th associate (who was stocking shelves) where to find another item I'd come in for, and he didn't know where that was either !If you enjoy a good scavenger hunt, this is the place for you! Do better Sobeys. ?
