I love this store. Designers clothes at a fraction of the price. I don't know why people get things like Walmart clothes, when you can hit a clearance rack here and get something that will last longer and fit better for the same money.

Absolutely disgusting and racist location! I was reminded why I never come to this location the other night when someone came running towards me, so I got nervous thinking there was an emergency happening only to realize he was running towards me and then pretended to stop and browse! What a horrible lp strategy!!! He then proceeded to follow me for 5 minutes and once I met up with the rest of my family (all of whom were making a purchase) he backed off and went and stood in the fitting room area! What a joke! I wanted to complain to the manager but it’s not worth it, this location has done something similar to my son before which is why we stopped coming here! We are regular TJx customers for years and this is the only location this ever has happened at, and multiple times!!! Disgusting, I will never return! Get your self together Winners upper James! I’ll be filing a complaint with head office!!!

I went to upper james on 19th July around 5/6 pm. The manager working at that time was quite rude. There was a product with the wrong discount tag (red tag). I wanted to buy something thinking it was a certain amount but at the counter they said the discount barcode wasnt for the product. So clearly the staff made a mistake. So I asked if they'd honour the current price on the product. It was literally $1 difference, so the manager could have just approved it as a good will. For me, this $1 wasnt a big deal at all. But it's a matter of principal. This is the standard for MOST stores but winners doesnt have this policy (which btw, they dont mention anywhere or even keep a copy of this on hand). Anyway, as a matter of discussion, I said that it's a shame that this is the policy for winners because it can lead to bad PR (i.e. custimer dissatisfaction. Imagine if you found something you want for $10 and was excited to buy it, and then being told at the counter that it's actually $100). The manager literally SCOFFED at me. Again, this was just a discussion. This was incredible rude. How did she become a manager with such poor customer service training? I have been shopping at winners for the last 10ish years. I have spent AT LEAST roughly $5,000 in this time. This really left a bad taste. Not only was she dismissive throughout the ENTIRE conversation but she was rude at the end. There was NO apology. If I were her, the first thing I'd do is say sorry and then explain the situation. It was after all a mistake by winners' staff. This is the second time a winners staff at hamilton was unnecessarily rude. I lived in many cities and have always found the staff nice and helpful. The ones here seemed very entitled as though they are doing the customers a favour by working there.
Re-/train your staff in public relations, winners. Or else you'll go the same way as Sears.

I’ve been enjoying visiting this location over the Marshalls down the street for the better selection of books & children’s toys.

The cashier number 1023, she shows contempt and discrimination towards customers. She doesn't even admit her mistake. I went to return the items ( at 19:26 on 17/7/2024).I had previously purchased and was informed by her that I received a gift card for my next purchase, I received the gift card and receipt and continued shopping, after more than 1 hour. I shopped and went to the checkout to meet her ( at 21:00 same day) and paid with a gift card, but there was no money on the card. She called the manager and said she paid for my visa and said she didn’t give me that gift card. and she asked me again:” did I give it to you?. no I do not think so.”. What does?what she said prove? Did she suspect I stole the gift card without money and went to pay????.
I asked to open the surveillance camera ,could see she gave me the gift card and what she said to me, but they ignored my comments and even said I was yelling. The experience was terrible.

Used to shop at winners exclusively...however since they allow dogs in the store I no longer will shop at the store..if they allow dogs they should put a sign up at the entrance to indicate that they do..I have talked to many dog lovers about this and not one of them can figure out why they allow dogs..I have seen up to 4 dogs in one store at the same time...I spoke to an employee about dogs in the store and mentioned that if I had my autistic granddaughter with me in the store in which she is afraid of dogs what they would do to try and solve this situation..the response from the employee was...maybe you should get your granddaughter some counseling....YES not making this up..a call to head office of this whole situation has resolved nothing..I however have made many people aware of this situation with the winners and Marshall's outlets..I am interested in what road this store will take..and by the way I Like Dogs..But not in a store
