Beware they like to add on to your bill money for themselves especially the Indian lady will give herself 10 doller when you get home look at you stuff add it up and you will see things don't match when you go back to confront them they tell you you are wrong. You forgot to bring something back. I stood outside the store and told people going into the store and she came outside to see what l was doing l told her not to haras me or l will call the police. Never go there

They stole money from me. I went there yesterday for the first time and they added stuff to my receipt and I didn’t notice until the next day! And I went there today to get my money back and they wouldn’t give me back. So please, alway check your receipt.

I recently had an unfortunate experience at the Dollar Store.
As a Black person, I couldn't help but feel that I was being racially profiled. I was closely watched by a someone that worked there as if I were a thief. This made me extremely uncomfortable.
I understand that I was carrying a backpack, but in Canada, it's common for people to wear backpacks. I was also unfamiliar with the store layout and had to walk around to find the items I needed.
Regardless of the reason i was being so closely monitor, customers should be able to shop comfortably without being monitored so closely.
If theft is a significant concern for the store, investing in better theft control mechanisms might be a better approach than making honest customers feel like criminals.
When I suspected I was being watched, I moved to another aisle to see if I was mistaken. However, the staff member continued to monitor me, peeping when she was back at cash register even returning to the aisle I was in after finishing at the checkout.
Plus i refuse to spend at a store like this, so i had to validate. ( and i ended up leaving the stuff i picked up at the front so the worker can see because i did not want any problem when i was leaving).
This experience was distressing and made me feel unwelcome. I believe it’s important to address this because any form of profiling is unacceptable. All customers, regardless of their race, should be treated with respect and not be subjected to undue scrutiny.
I hope the management will take this feedback seriously and work towards creating a more inclusive and respectful shopping environment. You are free to check your camaras June 20, 2024, bit after 5pm to validate this

This store is a solid 3 and no more. Come in with low expectations and be pleased when your experience isn't interrupted by the staff. While I can understand that nothing is a dollar anymore, some of the prices make you wonder why they just don't rebrand to a liquidation outlet because that's really what this is.

I'm not coming back in this store. The total of my purchase is more than $60 dollars. I went home I thought it cannot be more than $60 dollars so I double checked the items I bought & the receipt.During the scanning I just returned the cart and returned to the counter to pay so I didn't see when she's scanning the items. I came back to the counter & she asked me if I am buying two of the Halloween Witch hat, I said only one so she scan it back .I reach home thinking there's must be an error because it cannot be $60 dollars so when I check my receipt the Witch hat is scan three times. So I was over charge 11 dollars plus tax.This is not the first time it happened to me so I personally do not want to come back in this store as I get overcharged .When you buy in this store make sure you watch when they scan your items Check your receipt before leaving the store.The other staff are nice but because of my experience getting overcharged few times now that I personally don't want to come back in this store.
