BEWARE…. Came into the store with a $20 off coupon when you spend $50 which I received from animal services when I renewed my dogs license. I presented the coupon at the time of sale. Items were charged at full price. The male clerk with the sleeve tattoos blamed the machine rather than his deliberate deceptive actions. Dishonesty is not becoming to a reputable company like Rens. A refund was issued after a complaint was made. No apology was given. Suggest shopping elsewhere.

Rens has always been my favourite but especially this location. They are always so kind and have such positive energy, and always so ready to help. Teaghan was the absolute best today, she is so sweet and helpful.

The manager at this location should be fired. My daughter who is only 13 went into the store and was treated so terrible by this manager that she left crying. My daughter said that she was followed but never ask if she needed help. When my daughter ask a question they immediately said we don’t have it The manager went behind the counter and giggled with one of the workers. How I know this was the manager is I went back in and ask for head office info and she said I’m the manager what do you need the head office for. I said I need the number and she kept asking for reason. She was very rude and went back around the counter and literally giggled and rolled eyes with an employee. I left the store and will never return and take my business someplace else. Will contacting head office.

This is by far the BEST pet food store in the Hamilton area. Prices are great, they always have something on sale too. PLUS their customer service is fantastic. I don’t shop anywhere else now. Shout out to Alyssa (I’m pretty sure that’s her name, I’m so sorry if it’s not) for her AMAZING customer service!

First time shopper yesterday and was greeted upon entering by cashier and then a friendly lady asked me if I needed any help and found out she was the district manager for their area (I asked the cashier when I was checking out) ... refreshing to hear and see management on the floor and so helpful ?? Thanks Laura I appreciated your help

Just visited this location. Was greeted by a friendly male staff member. No issues with him. Went to check out and a lady with glasses was at the counter. I asked her for prices on a few items since there were no prices listed for the items I was interested in. Without exaggerating this was her response “ I don’t know? I’m not over there right now?” This was said while she was giving me a look as if I was causing some kind of inconvenience. Why would you say that to a customer? If you aren’t assisting someone else and aren’t busy wouldn’t the proper thing to do would be to come over to the customer and inquire further about the item I was asking about? And then give me the price? Seems like common sense to me. After this, she still couldn’t give me a concrete answer. She then proceeded to make me feel incredibly uncomfortable at the cash while making small talk about the prices of things. I used to come here to buy frozen sardines for my guy religiously. Won’t be coming back. I left the store feeling incredibly annoyed and upset.
