I was just trying to open an account and this older brunette white lady who worked at the desk was the one who served me. She was very nice to the white man in front of me but once I came up she switched up and caught an attitude. I am always extremely respectful but she started asking me weirdly personal and targeted questions. She was not helpful in the slightest and I left feeling super disrespected. She was more focused finding ways to get me to leave instead of actually trying to help me. She had a very condescending tone that was not given to the man in front of me. It’s giving racism. Scotiabank yall cannot be allowing this!

Very friendly staff and bank manager. Everyone is very helpful and kind. After a terrible experience at the yonge/mapleview branch, I am happy to have found helpful, compassionate and caring staff at this branch!

The lack of sensitivity and astronomical amount of discrimination I got in 30 secondary was astounding.
I have no idea who the woman on her high horse was, or if she was hard of hearing but, she seqm3s to have a hard time believing I could have estate documents with me because I wlak3d to their bank.
I make more than her in a week than she does in a year but she is looking down on me because I walked laughable.

Just my luck I move to Innisfil and have to deal with this Scotiabank. Probably the works bank I have ever been to. The women who work there lookin at me like I’m a criminal cause of a couple tattoos. They never help me out with anything meanwhile the same issues I’m asking g help with a feeler easily does at another branch. Just look at the other reviews it’s not just me . I legitimately hate this Scotiabank. The worst tellers the worst customer service the worst anything, your 2 star average review reflects all this.

Carrie Theissler, The customer service supervisor at this branch, exhibits an alarming level of unprofessionalism. Her indifferent attitude is utterly unacceptable for someone in her position. During our visit, she refused to assist my 13-year-old daughter with a banking matter and displayed discriminatory behaviour. Despite being advised to book an appointment to resolve the issue, our meeting with her yielded no solutions. Instead, she directed us to call customer service, which we had already done. The representative we spoke to was baffled by her suggestion, as she could have resolved the matter herself at the branch. I also emailed her several times regarding this situation, and she has not responded; it has been two months. It is unacceptable that this individual continues to hold her position at this bank.

I am constantly having the worst experience at the Innisfil beach location and today is the last for me, cashed a cheque and their cheque machine missed a 0, the bankers job was to catch it but clearly can’t read numbers and probably shouldn’t be even working there! Didn’t catch it and I lost out on funds, the manager was no better and sent me on my way without trying to resolve the issue and credit me the missing funds on the cheque. Now I’m without money and super pissed! Won’t be doing business with this location ever again and will be calling head office and explaining this entire situation that could have been corrected in a more professional way then telling me there’s nothing they can do for making a mistake on there end.

I have met one of the associate her name is maggy. This is the first time when I see someone is being such kind of racist and disrespectful towards the person from other community. I want to do a global transfer and she told me very clearly that she is not comfortable to do it or I can try in my city. What does she mean about it its her job and she should do this. I will take every single step to reach out the helpline and take action about her behave.
