“Well, this was a surprise! We went to the Windmill Brewery next door, not realizing there was a separate entity - a distillery sharing the same site. We initially went into the brewery for a few cans, and ended up taking a peek next door at this distillery as well, where we found out that they use local farm-grown ingredients to distill vodka and rum, and we got a tour of the facility although they are not distilling anything at the moment. Fascinating! The equipment is large; I can't imagine trying to do this on the QT during prohibition!! We we offered samples of their organic rum, a vodka cooler, as well as garlic flavoured vodka!! This was amazing!! We took some home, and I will for sure cook with it! This place (and the brewery next door) was certainly worth the visit. We will be back... once we get low on what we purchased!”
