About Happy Land Park
Happy Land Park is a well-maintained and welcoming campground located just 20 minutes from Thunder Bay, near the spectacular Kakabeka Falls. The park offers drive-through level sites with plenty of trees, providing privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. It features extensive grounds with beautiful, groomed landscapes, making it perfect for walking and enjoying nature. Guests can walk a mile to the nearby village with a great café or continue further to visit Kakabeka Falls, often called a mini Niagara Falls, which is just a short walk or drive away. The park also offers dedicated dog trails leading to a pond with eagles, making it dog-friendly and ideal for outdoor lovers. Facilities are clean and well cared for, including showers, washrooms, laundry, and a gift shop. The pool and hot tub are highlights, with the pool heated to 80 degrees Fahrenheit and a new liner in 2024. Despite some minor issues with showers, water pressure, and occasional power outages during storms, guests find the facilities satisfactory. Fire pits are provided for campfires, and safety is a priority, with cameras and staff actively monitoring the grounds. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive, creating a safe and enjoyable environment. Activities like live music during special events and the opportunity to mine amethyst nearby add to the park’s appeal. Overall, Happy Land Park offers a peaceful, clean, and family-friendly experience, making it highly recommended for passersby and future visitors alike.

I think Happy Land needs to be the baseline of what other parks should be, one of the better rv/campgrounds to stay at, everything was super clean, the place was organized and the people were super lovely, 10/10 recommend if you’re ever up that way!

We enjoyed this campground.
It's very well set up and neat. The pool was pleasant and a nice touch of having a rain stick.
Kids playground has dated play structures. They are still functional and fun.

We stayed one night on our way west in our RV. We had full hook up and WiFi. Great price point for a nice sized site with trees and shrubs. Clean washrooms and showers. Very friendly front desk service. Within minutes of Kakabeka Falls. Would definitely stay here again.
