I want to write the worst review! We bought a TV at the Best buy store, it’s not cheap! A year and a month passed and the TV stopped working, there was no picture, only sound. The standard warranty on it was only a year, but only a month has passed since then and it no longer works. we went to the store where we spoke to the manager named Raza, if I'm not mistaken. They can't help us because the warranty expired a month ago. It turns out that this store sells faulty TVs. If you want to buy something and only use it for a year, this is the place for you. They won't be able to help you, they'll just shrug their shoulders. disgusting service, disgusting product, staff can't help, no one cares about your situation, they work according to a template, they don't care about customers, the main thing is money. such a huge store and they can’t do anything, it’s very sad and offensive that they turned to you! I don't recommend it to anyone!!! if anything happens, don't expect anything other than an apology, terrible experience with you, very unpleasant to be left without TV and help on Christmas Eve?????

Bought a Quest 2 last week. I was suppose to received a 75$ gift card, which I didn't. Tried to contact by email, phone, I came back and the manager was mad about me asking the 75$ because the promotion is not good anymore. He also accused me of being impolite while he was cut me every time I tried to explain that I bought it during the promotion. He just left and don't care. The young employee manage the situation better the the manager. I still didn't receive the 75 $ and I assume that I'll never receive it.The store has good choice of electronic, but if you have an issue, don't expect any help. The management is not available and not polite by accusing people when they asked what they're entitled to.The Source might has less choice, but at least, they never refuse to give the gift card or respect any other promotion that they advertise.From now on, it will be Costco and The Source.I don't recommend.

Recently purchased a high-end Samsung QLED TV from these folks and spent 15 hours trying to get the things to connect properly with my surround sound system. Followed all of the on-line instructions for both the receiver and the TV , including new cables etc all to no avail. Contacted their client service department at the 1-800 number and was told someone would contact me within 24-48 hours to help me resolve the issue. it is now 10 days later and I have not heard a word from them. Obviously they do not care about after-sales service. I strongly say don't buy from them if you want any kind of real service. I have since raised the issue with Samsung telling them I am about to return the unit to the store for a full refund.Update to this review: Hilarious to receive a response to this review telling me to reach out to them again through the same channels that produced no results the first time. You can see how little they care about after market service. Rather than take the initiative to look into the original request, they make the consumer do more work to get any kind of service.I decided to try to contact then through the offered chat portal. My experience was equally frustrating and after about 30 minutes the person? at the other end was nowhere closer to helping than when I started. Pathetic!!!Samsung took a similar approach when I contacted them through an online review about the television. No one cares once they have your money.

I bought a Tv yesterday at Best buy for $99. I noticed on my receipt that there was this charge for $7.50 for an Env fee. I was thinking really hard about what this charge was, but I couldn't figure it out. I decided to call the Best Buy Call center and they were confused to what this charge was. I decided to drive to the Best Buy store out here in Kanata and asked the cashier what this charge was. He wasn't sure what this charge was, so he went and asked one of his managers, he then came back and said it was an Enviromental Fee and it was a mandatory fee. As a customer I think I should have been informed first about this charge, and at least have been told that there was going to be this charge. Just so everyone knows, BEST BUY is now charging customers $7.50 Enviromental fee on a $99 product. They also tax the standard 13% on top of the $7.50 Env fee + $99 product charge. They will charge you $107.49 + the 13% hst= your total charge

Misleading and Deceptive sales methods, that you would expect in a night market. I was buying a $900 laptop, the person hovered over us, I had to several times let him know that I needed a minute to discuss with my wife. After several times asking the details, when it came to the final equation, the price he calculated was $1,460!!! So he had omitted to let us know to get the price he offered we needed to be Best Buy members for 24 months which in itself was $480, and an additional $60 to get the payment plan itself, and he "mistook" that at the end to buy the laptop we would have to pay $180 instead of $120.Also he said with this you get an amazing 1 time pay fee Anti-virus and you don't pay any more in future. When the time came for payment, he tried to say it's in fact Once a year, so basically like any other anti-virus.Terrible misrepresentation of price, product and all. Buy it online, do not go to the store, avoid the night market service!

I’ve had some truly disappointing experiences at this place, and it’s not just been once, but multiple times. The only reason I continue to go there is because it’s conveniently located near my house. Unfortunately, it’s consistently the Geek Squad or the mobile service staff who seem to have issues with customer service.I called ahead of time to confirm they had the phone I was looking for, and I was assured that they did. However, when I arrived, I was told they didn’t have it. When I mentioned who I had spoken to on the phone, they simply said, ‘Maybe you called the wrong number.’ They asked me to fill out an online call back form, which I had already done, and I had even received a confirmation call earlier that day stating the phone was in stock. Despite this, it seemed like they didn’t even bother to check or listen to what I had to say. Their behavior has consistently been rude.

Went to buy two items and both were boxes on the shelf but went to the register to find out that both were out of stock. You're better off shopping on Amazon. As an update, this 'Best Buy Owner' who comments on these reviews is most likely a bot directing you to the generic Best Buy customer service contact.

I just returned from back-to-school shopping for my youngest daughter, who is leaving the nest for the first time and embarking on her university chapter.I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Dervan, James and an extra shoutout to John.Dervan was super helpful during my initial visit a couple weeks ago when I was scoping out products. He was super fun, easy going and very knowledgeable!Last week, I returned to buy a new iPhone and was treated to amazing service from James, who was also very helpful, kind and super patient as he walked us through all our different options.And finally Dave… no words can describe how incredibly helpful, tremendously kind, and absolutely amazing to work with to get my daughter all the equipment she needed for a successful start to her university experience. He has a GREAT sense of humour, is armed with patience, honest and has a great personality.To the HR Team… you made a fine choice hiring these 3 people… actually, everyone in your Kanata store is awesome.Thank you BESTBUY. I feel much better about my youngest baby bird leaving the nest because of all of your fine support!

Stood in line for quite a while three workers helped one guy. Then after the guy left they just walked by me without saying anything. The door greeter ended up cashing me out.

Great collection of all kind of electronics. We went for the return of an item. Though we didn’t get the solution but the person from customer service explained the whole process very well. I must say staff is very kind and supportive.

I have been to the Best Buy in Kanata about 3 times and everytime I has impeccable service from the Geek Squad, specifically Airnest! He is very knowledgeable in his job and takes the time to ensure that the customer also understands what's happening. He is very patient and detailed. When waiting in line, other members of the department are always checking if you are getting through and they bounce ideas off of each other to get the job done in an expert and efficient way. The level of teamwork observed is a refreshingly welcome in this age of standoff mentality. Great job to all of them and especially to Airnnest for his great service ? ?

Walked into the Best Store April 10 and bought a new TV 50inch. Could not fit in my car so took the free shipping option. I live 15 minute drive from the store. Here's what went wrong:1) the sales person I was dealing with told me that the TV would be delivered April 11, and It eventually arrived on April 13 due to "delays". 2) It was shipped from Southern Ontario, almost 500 KM from my home. Why not ship from the store, only 15 minutes from my home? They had the TV in a box at the store. 3) Delivery was guaranteed do my unit which is in a condo building, 3 rd floor. The delivery company (third party, not Best Buy) only delivered to the front desk on the first floor, dropped it off and swiftly left. Really? Now, lets see how things go with installation of the TV on my wall, going by the specs for the bracket and what the sales person told me...."yes it will fit, no problem"... We shall see. Geek Squad wanted to charger WAY too much for the installation, so I'm doing it myself. Also, customer service at the store...very lean staff, very difficult to find sales staff, always have to chase them down. Conclusion: I will NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER buy ANYTHING from ANY Best Buy store in Canada, the USA, online or anywhere else again. This was the first and very LAST purchase with them. EXTREMELY disappointed.

I've bought plenty of electronics from Best Buy over the years and I've never seen customer service as poor as the Kanata location.The girl at the door greets us and directs us to where the cell phones are. I hear her page the mobile department on her radio. Nobody comes to help us. There are employees everywhere doing nothing like the guy talking about his upcoming weekend plans, the guy who looked right at us and kept laughing it up and having a good time doing whatever he was doing, and the two mobile employees helping the same customer. Nobody comes to help us.So we gave it 10 minutes and left. I'll buy two unlocked iPhone 14's outright somewhere else. The height of poor customer service and the manifestation of "not my job".

I had the unfortunate experience of visiting geek squad at Kanata Best Buy today. After being a member for over four years of geek squad, it came to my attention that my family forgot to continue to pay their plan. I was rudely turned away for a simple problem that would’ve taken five minutes, which is resetting my phone because I forgot the password. I would have done it myself. Unfortunately I only on a Chromebook. As a student, and cannot do this function on the Chromebook.The manager ended up showing much more respect than the gentleman at geek squad that seemed like he just didn’t want to even be at his job wouldn’t give me the time of day. I would not trust any of your electronics there. Barhaven Best Buy has never made me feel like this in the six years I’ve done business with them. Including buying all my televisions play stations. Including the PS five Monitors even washing machines. Today’s visit made me never want to go to Best Buy in Kanata again let alone dust by itself. Look how long this message is N understand that I took the time out of my day to write this because the service I was given was completely unprofessional.
