Whoever the shift manager or night manager was at the time of me leaving this review (5:30pm Saturday Nov 18th), just cost his store several thousand dollars in sale, due to a really bad attitude. My family and I went there (with our dog) to purchase kitchen appliances for a new house (fridge, oven, dishwasher, washer, dryer) and light fixtures for our current house. I had asked an employee in front the store of they allowed dogs inside and she said absolutely. About 20 minutes in, my dog wee'd in the aisle - it was an accident, and asked an employee for help so we could clean it. He nervously told us, while speaking to his supervisor that we can't leave because he wants to speak to us. He then came by with a mop and bucket, visibly angry, and started telling us what we should and shouldn't do with the dog, etc., while his employee stood there looking clearly afraid of him.Goodbye Home Depot, Hello Rona!

I’ve dealt with the staff at Kanata Home Depot for a number of years and the service has always been excellent. These last few months have been an exceptional experience.Particular shout out go to Alana, Jessica, Alex and Christian who went to the Nth degree to get the order, delivered to me, despite a few bumps along the road. Also want to add that Karen in the paint department is top notch! So very helpful and knowledgeable and customer service focused.Thank you so much for going the extra mile.

I had a very pleasant visit of Homedepot at Kanata today. Patty B. at Appliances was so helpful to my inquiries about bathroom renovation. She kindly answered a long list of my growing questions with great understanding and patience. She showed me all kinds of products that I could possibly consider as options. I will definitely go back there for my continued rennovation.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting my local Home Depot, and I must say, it was a fantastic shopping experience from start to finish. Home Depot has consistently proven itself as a go-to destination for all of my home improvement needs, and this visit was no exception.First and foremost, the store layout is incredibly organized, making it easy to navigate through the aisles. The signage and helpful staff members are always ready to assist in finding the right products, ensuring I never feel lost or overwhelmed. The variety of products available at Home Depot is truly impressive. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast, a professional contractor, or simply looking to spruce up your living space, Home Depot has everything you need. From power tools to gardening supplies, plumbing fixtures to paint colors, their selection is extensive. What truly sets Home Depot apart is their commitment to customer service. The staff members are not only knowledgeable but also approachable and eager to provide assistance. During my visit, I had several questions, and each time, an associate was readily available to offer guidance and recommendations.Additionally, Home Depot's price match guarantee and frequent sales and promotions ensure that you're getting the best value for your money. It's reassuring to know that you won't have to break the bank for quality products.Lastly, Home Depot's online ordering and curbside pickup options have been a lifesaver, especially during these challenging times. The convenience of browsing and purchasing online and then quickly picking up my items without having to enter the store is a game-changer.In conclusion, Home Depot continues to impress me with its exceptional service, extensive product range, and commitment to customer satisfaction. It's the one-stop shop for all things home improvement, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to tackle projects big or small. I'll definitely be returning for all my future home improvement needs.

Typical Home Depot story, trying to figure out a drain assembly and don’t know where anything is;Steve working in the plumbing section is amazing! Knowledgeable, friendly and really helped me navigate. This is the reason I come to Home Depot over any other box store.

I went to the service desk and the employee named Tracey was a refreshing change because most service desks seem to be more on the negative side but Tracey had a positive attitude which left me feeling like a valued customer. Please thank her for me as it brightened my otherwise overcast day.

Purchased a full set of appliances. Jar two drop of dates. First date appliances came damage and employees were extremely unprofessional. Second date we received the rest. Once driver's left my father noticed money taking out of his wallet. Have not yet received a call from management.

I had an uncomfortable experience at the self checkout at this location this morning - I approached the checkout with a basket full of mostly small items and was greeted by a cashier named Jeremy. He said 'good morning' as I placed the basket down next to the scanner. As I had forgotten to bring a bag, I stepped around the cash and grabbed one of the reusable bags for sale, scanned it and began putting the items through, scanning them myself. As soon as I started doing this, though, Jeremy comes over and actually starts taking the items out of my basket and starts scanning them himself. What made this uncomfortable was that I didn't ask for his help, nor did he explain his reasons for jumping in and doing the work for me.Out of curiosity, after I was finished, I stood by the door and watched as a couple of other people with similar orders went through (5-8 items max), and not one of them was approached by Jeremy or "helped" the way I was. I'd like to think that there's some sort of policy in place whereby if customers are bringing through more than a certain number of items, they would be offered help at the self checkout, but it definitely didn't feel that way for me. I don't want to mention prejudiced attitudes as being the reason for his behaviour, but I'm also not physically incapable of operating a self checkout...

We rented a tool to do some demolition, the tool arrived with the wrong blade and was therefore not effective. I called the rental office at 8:30 and was told that they were too busy to help me as they had a line up at their counter (fair enough) I did explain though that the tool was essentially useless to us without a fix (we didn't know at the time that it was the wrong blade). They said they would mark it as urgent and get right back to me. An hour later, I called again, and spent 15 minutes trapped in an endless loop of hold music and ringing phones, which were never answered. My husband took the tool back, was told that the blade was the wrong one, and was charged a 4 hour rental fee. At about 2:30 that afternoon, I finally got a call back from Home Depot 6 hours too late and about 3 hours after the tool was returned. No bueno!!

Good customer service here, although the prices seem to have gone quite a bit up. However, the helpful people working here try to make up for it as much as they can.

Just recently had to buy another new fridge from HD. First new LG fridge was about 3 years old and the compressor died. Warranty only covered compressor replacement with huge labour cost, so more economical to buy a new one. Next new LG fridge (different model) just died last week (two years later). Same situation as the previous - compressor died, manufacturers warranty covered to replace the part, but diagnostic fee plus $600 labour fee. So off to curbside for fix-it pickers. So this time (third time's a charm, right?) NO MORE LG. A different major brand company will be reaping the benefit of poor industry standards. Bottom line: LG fridges are well priced, attractively designed. HOWEVER, buyer beware. Do not be swayed by these deceptions, or the raving 5 star reviews by the new LG fridge honeymooners. Gone are days where fridges run for 10 years or longer. Max 4-five years, so start sending letters to Appliance Co. Executives and Consumer Affairs. Because as they say, Silence is consent. And we don't want Silence or else nothing will improve and the companies will keep reaping the profits of bad quality products. And BTW I've had very similar experience in recent years with Clothes Washing Machines.

The best service in all homedepots I've ever been at. We were looking for a particular item and we had 4 employees help search the entire store. Even when they couldn't find it they contacted another homedepot close to them, and had them hold the items for us until we could get there. They definitely went out of there way to help. Thanks to all employees that work there, will definitely shop here again.

We entered and went to customer service to know where things we needed were, fast and friendly people. We found everything we needed in the specified row. Then the cashier Carys was quick, and nice too.

Although I've never had a bad experience at this location, today I had a particularly good one. I came in looking for okra plants. They had just come in and the lady with light blond hair (I didn't get her name) in a ponytail who was working alongside Sloane was very helpful and helped me find some. When I got to the cash, I was served by Clark who was kind enough to fashion a plastic cover for me so I wouldn't get the inside of my bad dirty. Stellar customer service for sure!
