“A real gem for gamers, comic book enthusiasts and the young at heart in general. Not so much a store as a culture in and of itself and probably the most welcoming and inclusive space in the entire city. My son and I mainly go there for their Friday MTG commander nights and we always have a good time owing mainly to how overwhelmingly friendly the staff and our fellow players are.”

“Staff is approachable. They don't talk to you like a customer. They talk to you like a human being to another human being. They don't cater to Karen privileges nor would good people want them to. If you're nice to them, they're nice to you.Story itself looks like an oldschool comic book store because it is an old school comic book store. It's got the old comics for a good price. Doesn't overcharge. Sells them for what they are.I've grown to like this place.”

“Michael’s Kingston my wife had super service there from the manager today today. She had bought some material for her Crosstitch projects which she is very experienced in and after getting it home within a week found out the material was bad. Appeared to have some form of cedar on it.
so today we she took it back to Michael’s and had no problem whatsoever in contacting a manager and explaining to the manager, what the problem was. She did not expect to receive a refund on her purchase. She only wanted to bring it to the attention of the managers so that at their next meeting when they got together that somebody said they should not buy this material anymore.
She received a full refund with excellent service from the manager and a promise that he would bring it up at their next meeting. She also explained that when White Rose new Michael’s was coming to Canada purchased very poor material and very poor products to try and get back in and she informed the Michael’s manager that she did not want that to happen to them as she used them for a lot of stuff all the time. So all in all it was a good experience and all we can say is we will continue shopping at Michael’s and can highly recommend it.”
