This was my first time dealing with this business. They were professional, thorough and easy to communicate with.
I do not think anyone really likes taking their car to an auto shop but this was definitely a positive experience.

My son’s car had a clutch hydraulic failure and we had it towed to John’s based on the positive reviews.
Unfortunately the technician refused to do the work on the car because he deemed it was unsafe to put on the hoist. The interaction with my son was poor and they ridiculed him on the phone and told him to remove the car immediately.
Replacing the clutch slave cylinder does not require the car to be on the hoist and can be performed while the car is on the ground. There was no reason the car could not be repaired at the shop. It was done at the side of the road and works fine now. Will not be using their services. Very poor.

I basically brought these guys a bucket of bolts at the beginning of summer and they literally performed a miracle by rebuilding my transmission, installing a new clutch, replacing the high pressure fuel pump, fixing an oil pan leak, replacing the windshield and swapping out my tires.I owe them a huge debt of gratitude for their diligence, perseverance, and precision. John‘s Auto Service is a place of integrity, impeccability and the highest professionalism. I will use them for all my automotive service and I can’t recommend them enough!

Very honest and trustworthy business! They go above and beyond. My car had door handles problem and they went above and beyond to find out root cause. They gave me paperwork to go to dealership. There service here was outstanding. I had a loose heat shield hanging off the bottom of my car. I managed to get an appointment the next day. The garage kept me up to date via email and text with how the work proceeded. They also updated me on other issues my car had and sent invoices to show how much completing this services would be. Their frequent and easy communication, friendly service and quality repairs really sold me on making this my go to garage in Kingston!
