I went to this location on November 11th to look for a winter jacket. I found what I wanted at a great price but it wasn't available in my size. I asked if any more were available. The staff were very helpful and when they were unable to find my size ordered it online for me. It arrived a couple of days later and is exactly what I wanted!

I’ve never done a review of a place in my life. However, I thought it was necessary after what happened to me at this location June 19, 2024. I had purchased two pairs of jeans online and I decided to return one of them. I also found a pair I liked browsing in this location. The cashier and shift lead working there were absolutely lovely and nothing but courteous and friendly and exchanged the pair from online for the one in store. We had to return the first pair then buy the other instead of a straight exchange. That was totally fine as I also work in retail and understand sometimes systems are weird and things happen. The cashier checked me out and I was on my way. However, after leaving the store I checked my online banking and it says I was charged twice during the Mark’s transaction. I even went to my local bank and had this verified, and was told I needed to dispute it at Marks. I go back and the cashier and shift lead are very understanding and kind during the whole situation and even get the store manager to help me. The store manager was the most disrespectful, rude, and abhorrent person I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. There was an immediate attitude and I showed him my bank account with the information and the receipts and explained there must’ve been a glitch. I told him that of course I wasn’t upset as I also work in retail and things happen. He immediately looks at me with disgust and says “how old are you? Where do you even work?” It was belittling and it felt as if he were trying to take advantage of the fact I was young and less pushy. He tells me that he “doesn’t care” about the payments I was showing him online and even berates me and says I’m an aggressive tone that I needed to “drop my attitude” with him. I was genuinely so shocked and customers around me began staring because of the way this man was speaking to me. I begin crying in store and I’ve genuinely never been more embarrassed in my life. I have to excuse myself while this man goes to the back to further investigate after the cashier from before urges him to look. The shift lead even gave me tissues. After a while the manager comes back and gives me the refund and begins laughing at me because I was crying. This store has the sweetest employees, but the absolute most disgusting manager I’ve ever had to deal with that tries to take advantage of people that don’t know any better. If I EVER spoke to a person like this it’s safe to say I’d lose my job. The riocan centre location needs to do better with their management, so hopefully myself and no one else needs to go through what I did on this day.
