Worst Customer Service Ever – Avoid This Store!
If I could give zero stars, I would. This Aldo at Fairview Kitchener Mall has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any store across Canada.
I purchased an expensive pair of heels with the reassurance of their “guaranteed” return policy, which states that as long as the shoes are unworn and in the same condition, a return is possible. I tried them at home for a short while and realized they were extremely uncomfortable, so I went back to return them just four days later.
To my shock, they outright refused the return, claiming the heels were not in “sellable condition”—even though they were in the exact same condition as when I bought them. The shoes already had minor dirt on the bottom when I purchased them, as customers try them on in the store. But now, suddenly, when I bring them back, they aren’t “sellable”? What a scam!
To make things worse, the employee I dealt with was unbelievably rude and condescending. Instead of assisting me, they spoke to me in a disrespectful manner and made it seem like I was trying to pull a fast one. The attitude, the lack of professionalism, and the refusal to honor their own policy made this hands down the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had.
This store is a joke. They don’t stand by their policies, and their staff clearly doesn’t care about customers. I will never shop at Aldo again, and I strongly advise everyone to avoid this location unless you want to be treated horribly and scammed out of your money.

I tried multiple shoes today and decided on one with a $109 sticker on it. The cashier tried to gaslight me, claiming it was not on sale and that I had to pay the full price, all while she was removing the sale ticket. She contacted the assistant manager, who told her not to honor the sale because it was an older promotion. Perhaps they need to read the Consumer Protection Act before attempting to mislead customers with pricing. I didn’t end up buying it, as I’d rather spend my money elsewhere where business practices are lawful.

Experience was great up until mid check out - first girl took my email, started getting things organized for me and then another lady with strawberry blonde short hair came and practically pushed her out of the way to tell me my total and take my payment. I didn’t bring my wallet (which I’ll never do again) to avoid spending over $250 as I have my credit card on my phone. Their machines won’t process over $100 and she said she needed to see ID before she could split the payment. In that moment I should have left and brought my business elsewhere - I was so embarrassed. The only way she let me cash out was after I showed her my bank account as if that somehow proves it’s me? My email only shows last name and bank only showed first name? Maybe all she was looking for was proof that I could afford it?? Because after she saw the amount I had in my account, she changed up real quick. Irregardless, I’ll never take another quick mall visit without my wallet and I won’t ever buy anything from this location again.

Worst experience I’ve had. Bought a pair of shoes, and with their “guaranteed” return policy, I bought an expensive pair of shoes knowing that if I didn’t like the way they fit, I could return on the conditions of unworn and in the same condition I bought them.Come a week later, I wore them for maybe 5 seconds at home and hated the feel of them. So I came back to return.Was denied a return because they weren’t in sellable condition. When I purchased, they had dirt on the bottom as people try them on and walk around the store. I was denied a return because I brought back a shoe in the same condition it was sold? Scam of a business and won’t be back. Thanks

I would give zero or negative star if available to this branch the staff if very rude and helpless, the customer service is the worst , I would fire all of them in one shot especially the white skin girl worked closing shift Dec 29th 2023 around 7 pmShe was so rude to us while we were trying to return an online order.

Was kept waiting for at least 15 min to pick up an online order while an associate was processing a return for a customer -- which is fine in itself, except standing in line and having at least two floor associates who aren't with any other customers or doing anything other than walk around look at me and not even ask if they could help me? Come on. That's customer service 101, and your employees don't seem to have it.
