Staff are very unpleasant and not customer service oriented; never providing solutions/answers to concerns (leaving signage up for sale items that should have been taken down and wouldn't acknowledge they should be providing the listed price), stock is always gone by 11 am for sale items. Finding it extremely difficult to spend the money I do in that store to be treated as such and when staff are doing the absolute bare minimum to keep the store afloat. I easily spend $800 a month in that store to be treated like gum underneath a shoe.

This is my experience today here with the beef trays they are for customers. 40% off, it was tribble. They are treating less than human beings us animals to eat these photos attached. I had asked the first employee to get me a manager, and she didn't, and asked the girl in charge of the meats to get me a manager she didn't. So went cashier to for a manager I finally spoke to Cody the assistant manager.

Lots of sugar..... making strawberry jam and a lot of other stores don't have any, or they limit you to buying six.

At this branch be aware of the fact that they judge you based on your skin tone and race. The person at self checkout (a senior lady) were ignoring all canadian customers for their purchased stuff and all of a sudden decided to check all of my items one by one by showing off a solid discrimination, an attitude not normal in Canada. Not obvious for me for what reason I was chosen as I had the minimum stuff in my card and even a blind person could find what I had purchased. After 5 years being a customer at this branch, and after talking to the line manager of this branch, I found them to be the real case of "racists" and supportive to each other. They always have alibi to justify their misbehaviour. It was my last visit of this place. I hope that the wise board of the food basic company could react and help their staff to learn more about the ways to appreciate their customers.

I recieved great customer service from John yesterday. He helped me find the items I needed. Food Basics also has the best prices out there compared to the other grocery stores!!

Nowhere is “cheap” anymore for groceries, but this place saved me $50 in a week compared to shopping at a PC store. Great quality food, good customer service, and everything I needed was in stock. My new regular grocery store, without a doubt

This is your average Food Basics. We use this location because it's close to our house. Both self-serve and cahier checkouts.

For me is the go to option, when we need to go grocery shopping, and going far is something we want to avoidGood selection of products, and a farmacy in place, plus other stores surrounding it

I had terrific customer service today by not 1 but 2 staff members. The first opened a skid for me to check for specific yogurt tubes and when they weren’t there he went to the back and got me what I needed. Then when I was at the cash the cashier let me know that there was a buy 2 get 1 free deal on something I had 2 of instead of 3 so I got another one while he rang me through. The store is new so it’s clean and food basics is the cheapest grocery store almost all the time. :)

I prefer the food basics on Fairway Road in Kitchener to this location, parking is cramped, store is small but they do have good deals. They are on the flipp app so it makes it easier for me to get through the whole store. Alot of students hanging around as the high school is right behind the store.

This is hands down the best layout of a food basics in kitchener and surrounding area. They were out of a lot of the sale items but I was actually able to find the stuff I was looking for. And the cashier was very helpful and polite.
