Adopted both my cats from KSCR. Tammy and the volunteers do a wonderful job caring for as many cats as possible.I adopted the white cat Herakles (previously Snuggles) a couple weeks ago when I went to donate some food. I instantly fell in love with him and I knew I had to have him. He’s made himself fully comfortable at home with his full on kitten energy - he’ll be 1 in a couple weeks.Aphrodite (tabby) I adopted her 2.5 years ago and I can tell she came from a previously abusive home before she was rescued. She used to never come near us but once she was shown love, she slowly warmed up. She’s now almost 5 and she is the queen of the house! She’s still learning to tolerate having a little brother but she’s slowly moving closer to him every day. Both cats are so very different in personalities but still have so much love to give, all because their lives changed for the better because of KSCR.They do everything they can to save as many cats as they can and will show them what real human love is. Each cat has a unique personality and there is one for everyone. There are so many stray animals out there in are own city that didn’t ask for the life they got. If your considering on getting any kind of animal for the first time, I highly recommend to get a rescue.

How can you not give a pet rescue 5 stars? I mean they help animals that need some.I rescued my Kiddo (all black)15+ years ago. She is happy and currently healthy.Rescued G.T. (Ghost Tiger)(grey and white Tabby). A few years later. A friend and little brother for Kiddo. They have been such a value in my life. I couldn't imagine a life without a pet in it.Anything you can donate, rescue or do to help this type of rescue would go a long way. I am not affiliated with this group in any way whatsoever, but I would always advocate to help. When I have the need again, I will not hesitate to go here and try to help a deserving cat or two.

I love Kitchener Stray Cat Rescue! We got our beautiful cat Twyla (formerly Mama) from there and Andy (formerly Stevie). They came to us up to date on vaccines and microchipped. This rescue is volunteer run and so you either should make an appointment to visit the cats or go in on Saturday for they’re open to the public times. This group of people are wonderful and treat any cat with utmost care! They also make sure if each and every cat is suitable for the home that they are to go into, as they want the very best for each cat (and therefore person adopting). Tammy especially cares for each and every cat there. You couldn’t find a more compassionate group of people. So if you’re looking for a cat, either book an appointment with them or go in on their open to the public day to check them out, you won’t regret it!

Such an amazing rescue. Every cat/kitten is treated with love, care and respect. Everyone works very hard to keep the facility running. I adopted 2 kitties from there and I absolutely love them.

I came by to see their services and look at their cats I rang the doorbell 2 times. I didn't want to ring a 3rd time. I won't come back seems like they have poor customer service and communication skills. I'd give 0 zeros if I could. I wanted to know adoptive services out there in case later on I wanted to adopt or look at some cats. I will go elsewhere. I just lost my cat so I wanted to see what services were out there not impressed to say the least.

This rescue is all volunteer based. They are very mindful of every cat/kitten's needs and do their absolute best to provide exceptional care for the felines in the facility.

They try to help everyone and everything they can. Tammy and all the volunteers here deserve more recognition. They work so hard to keep the place clean and the kitties happy while they wait for a home! It’s a wonderful place!

Terrible place to deal with. We applied to adopt two cats and were refused because we have a dog. Their general assumption is previously feral cats don't do well with dogs. We explained to them that the dog was extremely gentle and does fine around cats. We also have a cat, and both the dog and cat were stray rescues from the Dominican. They get along beautifully. We offered to bring our dog to the front entrance of their building to see if the one cat we wanted would be OK initially with our dog. If the cat didn't like the dog, we would just leave a donation and be on our way. Still no. So if you have a dog, even a really well behaved one, don't bother with this place.

I had trapped a pregnant cat that was hanging around my backyard. After getting in touch with KSCR, they gladly took her in. I had the same situation a couple of years ago and the Kitchener Humane Society refused to take in a pregnant cat. Tammy and her people are the best
