This used to be my holy grail thrift stop but the prices are very steep now. Don't get as excited to come here as I used to. Dare I say it's worse than value village in terms of pricing. I'm disappointed with you, thrift on Kent!

It's one of my favorite thrift stores in the waterloo region! You can always find something good here. They also have a silent auction section.

I love this place. Great selection, great prices and super friendly staff! Most of them are volunteers as this is a non-profit, so the money goes to a good cause :)

Well organized inside. Very busy for good reason: great deals for an array of items. The 75% colour sticker days are great! This thrift store supports important charitable work globally.

Best thrift store in the area. The set-up and organization of the store makes it easy to navigate, prices are very reasonable, and revenue goes to support Mennonite Central Commitee who do incredible charity and disaster relief work. The folks who work there are all volunteers and very nice. Plus, there is no tax on any of the items due to it being a charitable organization! Can't recommend enough.

While their furniture and home goods section is good , the rest of the store is kind of messy and disorganized. The prices are good but it's hard to look through things because of the layout. Not to mention the front entrance isn't open so you have to walk around. The hardware/miscellaneous section is a total mess. Employees are nice and quite diverse which is appreciated.

I love shopping at MCC Thrift on Kent! It's a great place to find gently used clothes and shoes at a fraction of the cost of new. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they are always happy to help you find what you're looking for.I've found some great deals on clothes and shoes at MCC Thrift on Kent. I recently bought a pair of brand new Nike sneakers for only $10! I also found a beautiful dress for a special occasion for only $20.In addition to clothes and shoes, MCC Thrift on Kent also has a wide variety of other items, including furniture, home decor, books, and more. I've found some great deals on furniture at MCC Thrift on Kent, and I've also found some unique home decor items that I couldn't find anywhere else.I would definitely recommend MCC Thrift on Kent to anyone looking for a great place to find gently used items at a great price. The staff are friendly and helpful, the selection is great, and the prices are unbeatable. If you're looking for a great place to find gently used items at a great price, I highly recommend MCC Thrift on Kent!

VERY disappointed in this group. We tried to donate some VERY nice furniture. Emails sent and pictures as well. Several times ! This was high end clean new like stuff too.Which would have helped out someone big time.Well not even a polite reply at all. Not a t "thank you" or even a replyHOW RUDE!!!Some charity shop this is.You try to be nice and help folks out and the people doing the helping seem to be inept. Or at least without manners.so don't waste your time here trying to be nice. It's pointless it seems.

Bad employee/volunteer experience. For the first time going there, this was a very bad experience. The worst I’ve seen unfortunately. We were told by the manager that the store was going to close soon so we started quickly replacing clothing items we had in our hands that we didn’t need (we had about 4) before checking out. There was this volunteer who worked there that started yelling at us that we had to leave (even though we were visibly done and replacing the items on the racks) so we listened. We placed the last item and immediately started to walk towards the check out but she still kept harassing us and telling us that the store was closed and that we had to get out. No other employee were agitated they were just waiting for us to check out. So we’re trying to mind our own business and she keeps harassing us and then out of nowhere blames us for the mess on the floor when that didn’t happen (you can even check camera footage) I told her that we did not partake in the mess because I felt like it was unfair to be accused simply because she felt like blaming people and being extremely rude. She then said “sure”. And was getting more irritated but ignored it and tried to walk away but she still kept talking about me. Bad timing because I was having pretty bad day than usual (Regardless, no one should be treating people like this especially when it comes to customers) because I was overwhelmed with the amount of unnecessary disrespect and hatred, I actually raised my voice from afar saying “it’s okay we’re going now!” (As in we did what you asked please stop talking to us rudely) Because we were ALREADY at the cashier checking out. She started going on a rant and kept saying that I was “rude” so I literally told her that I’m not “rude” unless someone is rude to me first (because her behaviour was disproportionately aggravating) And this has never happened to me before and I’ve never seen someone behave like this than today. I’m not surprised to see some unpleasant people at times and that’s okay, it happens. But this person kept harassing us nonstop and I was fed up which is why I even responded to her in the first place. She was going off at us completely unprovoked since the beginning and accusing us. She kept making up excuses (like using her age as a justification to treat us unfairly and belittle us. We were all adults by the way so the fact that we’re were younger than her shouldn’t matter. Respect can be earned at any age) and lies to make me look bad and make herself look good (like saying that she never accused us of throwing clothing on the floor…) to everyone she saw including the manager (the manager was nice I have no complaints. She also understood the situation and tried to calm the situation down). Before resuming the check out process, I explained my side to the manager and that the worker was rude, accused us of purposely dropping clothing on the floor and that I felt unjustly treated. I couldn’t fully explain my side of the situation because I wasn’t calm enough, feeling frustrated and in disbelief of what was actually happening. So I just explained briefly and apologized to the manager and went back to checking out to leave. If the worker really wanted us to check out and go home I don’t think she would’ve caused such a scene to get a reaction out of people. This is not a game or something that should be done so casually. Not everyone is equipped to deal with such a bad attitude. You I never know what someone is going through. That’s why you should treat people fairly and with respect (ESPECIALLY as a worker and when customers are being neutral/nice with you by default) And mind you, we are customers who initially listened to the employee without retort or attitude and despite that she had to treat us unfairly. That was the worse experience I’ve had in a store by a worker. Hopefully next time they will be reviewed a little more carefully before being selected and go over this with that worker as well because this was extremely bad customer service.
