This used to be my favorite Shell in K-W because of location and staff. Since going to Pre-pay only, the experience has taken a bit of a turn.
- I can't actually do a prepay at the pump. their pumps wont scan my airmiles card, so i have to go in to get my card scanned anyway.
- If it's early in the morning or late at night, you actually can't go in the store anymore, so no more getting a coffee or food with gas at this location before hitting the highway.
- when I fill up, it's 100+ liters... the pumps start loudly beeping at about 60 liters saying that I have pumped too much gas and need to stop pumping -- even though I am prepaid to 100+ litres of gas!
- i guess while i am at it ... this location is prone to running transactions through my card twice ... it always seems to get reversed, but if it ever doesn't I would have to go through the transaction processor to try to get it removed, neither the station nor shell would help.

Not sure if it’s an issue with the new screens they installed or just bad employees but it always takes an incredibly long time between paying and having it allow you to start pumping. Considering you MUST pay at the pump here this is quite frustrating. Hate the new screens and the annoying ads that play while you pump.

They installed TV screens that play loud, unmutable ads while you fill your tank. At least their pumps have the trigger catch so that you can walk away to get some relief. Still, I will not be going back while they have this utterly disdainful nonsense.

Worse customer service. I went there to get gas . After getting gas went inside to pay but I was very disappointed to realize and saw the customers service of the cashier. He was very rude and looked at me like a I have done very bad to him. Even he didn’t answer what I said like good morning, happy dewali, how are you . Just paid the gas price and left . I don’t know how the company does not train franchisees about customer service and how to run the business. There is much competition in businesses. At least the owners should let the people know who work in the gas station that customers service is very important because first impressions is the last impression. She’ll company must see its customers service reputation

I went at 11:07 PM tonight to the store to get some things I needed and he refused to open the store because apparently they close the store at 11PM even tho it says it is open 24 hours on the. He was also looking at me with a judge look that made me uncomfortable. His eyes had racist vibes.

I was waiting for the pump to authorize lady inside, start yelling need to prepay. She then continue to argue with me over the speaker then when I went inside to make a purchase, she stood with her arms folded and stared at me. She’s one very rude lady who trust no one she tells me it’s a Shell thing that we have to pay ahead of time yet the shell around the corner from my house does not make me prepare. She really needs to stopTo stop yelling at clients and realize if it wasn’t for us she wouldn’t have a paycheque. She needs to learn to trust the clients and not argue with them. Will not use this gas station again until things have changed and I see change.

Allows customers to pump gas while car is still running. When addressed at the desk attendance says there's no way to stop the flow of gas from somebody whose car is still running even though it poses a threat to the people who work there are pumping gas there and live in the neighbourhood

Tried fueling up just after noon on a Tuesday but attendant started shouting at me through the speaker. Couldn't understand a word she was saying. Finally figured out that she wanted me to prepay. Sorry but I don't prepay. Rude woman. Taking my business elsewhere.

My car likes the premium gas here better then other places. The two crazy guys that work there just crack me up. It is like a free comedy show. No complaints here.So now it’s 2022/10/19 and they want you to prepay because of theft. No problem.Not knowing this waited a long time at the pump to be activated while the lady inside finished her conversation first to tell me to prepay. Went inside gave her my card and ID not knowing how much I was going to pump. She tells me I have to tell her how much because the pumps are locked and she can’t authorize them ?. Smiled and left. Don’t lie to me because you don’t want to do your job. Fortunately they are other gas stations.

I paid for my gas and it never went into my tank. When I told the cashiers about this they didn’t believe me and sent me on my way. Don’t recommend, total rip off
