A bit off-beat, but worth a look.(This is a good place to pick up new & 'edgy' jewelry.... There's a lot of fun t-shirts, wallets, jewelry, weed-themed cups, tins, trays,... posters, etc....)If you're unfamiliar with Spencer's- this is NOT a place for 'polite' society. If you want to take a look, go ahead..... But be aware there's tons to offend in there. By all means go in though if you're an open minded individual.(There IS an adult only section in the back. Full of fun costumes, gag gifts, trinkets and certain toys.... Have fun exploring!)

I bought a t-shirt for my son fro Christmas. It's over an hour drive for me to the store. I just went to wrap it and they left the magnetic tag on. I tried to call the store and you have to go through a 1-800 line. I waited for over 15 minutes on hold. The customer service rep was very nice, but I was told my options were that I could drive back to the store and have them take the tag off. Or they could mail be a new item which would not be here for Christmas since its Dec 23 today. Or they could send me a gift card for the purchase. None of these options were suitable. I said that if I was going to have to spend over an hour to drive back to the store, I expected suitable compensation for my time and gas. I was told they'd give me 20% credit back...which is $5. I told them that wasn't enough considering the inconvenience of all this on Christmas Eve. I asked to speak with a manager or to have the number for the store directly. They wouldn't give me the direct line and told me they'd have a manager call me back. I'm still waiting.I'm extremely angry at the lack of accountability for their error and lack of appropriate compensation for the hassle this will now be for me. The store alarm should have gone off when I left and it didn't. And the guy monitoring the door for capacity even sat and spoke to me for a bit at the door. So obviously the security isn't working.I'm waiting to see how they will compensate me for this.

Unfortunately, The store is congested, crowded with items on top of each other which are disorganized, which is presumably ordering management fault who sends stock what they cannot fit in the small store. The store as well is not friendly for strollers, wheelchair users, or overweight individuals like myself. For a mall with many vacant stores, I am shocked they have not moved into a bigger location. We are new to the area so I am not sure if this store is independently operated, but there are many issues in the store which need to be fixed before a safety hazard happens to staff or customers. In regards to covid related issues, customers and staff seem to be forced to be breaking the boundaries of 6 feet rule due to the intensity of how crowded the store is. There is no directions of which way to walk, which leads to bumping into many people. We are worried for the safety of the customers and staff. this store is not following any guidelines recommended by the health professionals, besides cleaning the counter after each transaction. I will be leaving a complaint to Fairview park mall regarding this issue as well. This store should not be open during a serious pandemic, especially with spikes in cases in Waterloo region.Although, Staff are very friendly. The staff member at the front folding tee shirts greeted my wife and I, took the time to help and show us where specific items in store were, then informed us that he was going to pass us along to another staff member to further assist us

This store has to be one of my favorite places to go when your shopping for something or someone unique. If you have been in there I would highly recommend It.

A fun little shop similar to the "It Store" back in the 90's. A lot of fandom t-shirts, some backpacks and other odd items. Otherwise has some seasonal/holiday clothes that comes in, along with some other clothing and accessory items. Also has an adult shop type section at the back - I was surprised with this as I went with my kids while we were at the mall the first time I was there.I tend to find some items I like here, so I feel it's always worth my checking it out.
