“This family dollar caught me stealing something for a dollar when I was 16 and had a huge fit and called the cops. Said I was banned for life from this family dollar and every family dollar in the area. Well. I’ve been frequenting family dollar since basically the day after I got caught! muahahahhahahahahahaha. But for real I’m not gonna give you one star for something that happened like 18 years ago but f the manager who was working that day and f the cashier who checked me out who also was the receptionist at Truman. She gave me a dirty look like a few days later when I had to go to the office and call my mom sick. I was probably stoned or drunk.”

“So much nicer since the renovation. Staff and cashier's are always on point and friendly. My only complaint is the poles on the buggies that prevent them from leaving the store. If you have a lot of bags or bulky items like paper towel or toilet paper its a bit inconvenient.”

The manager and the man at the register was very nice and helpful.. there was an issue with the cash register. Could not fix it. They hurried up and open another line. “I've been shopping with them since they first arrived and I'll always visit when I'm in the area I just have one request the items are limited when the supply arrives and it's stocked up nobody checks the items to refill them and no attempts are made to make items available if it is sold out noone knows when they will be available”

“I was there two weeks ago after I couldn't find what I needed at another large chain retailer. The store manager there was so helpful and sweet and made sure I had everything I needed before I left. Great store. Conveniently located two blocks from house. Low prices too! Highly recommend this one, the Southgate store, and the one in Flat Rock.”

“I take my granddaughter there all of the time to do her household shopping. Yesterday, I thought I would get some bread to save me a stop at the grocery store but they didn't have any. I bought a Christmas card there that I thought was $2 and the cashier let me know that it was only $1. Like most stores with long lines and one cashier, it wasn't until it was our turn at the register that they decided to open up another register.”
