I was super nervous starting the application process based on the reviews I had read. I had met a puppy through their foster and she was so great with my old guy and vise versa, I knew she was meant to be with my family!
I called to check my application status and Jill called me shortly after to have a chat. Now I've had dogs my whole life but she shared valuable food information with me that no vet has ever told me and I will definitely be trying it! Jill was kind but protective of the dogs in her care which is completely understandable as she gets the pups from some of the worst places and/or in horrible conditions. We chatted for a bit and then she checked my vet references. I was contacted shortly after and told I could come and pick up our newest addition!!! I've never adopted from a shelter as an adult and the entire process was great!!! The staff that I met in person were fantastic which made my experience THAT much better!! It's a more comforting feeling knowing that they truly do care and will piss whoever off in order to ensure the dog goes to the right family. My suggestion to anyone who wants to adopt is be completely transparent and honest when going through the process and be open minded as to how they tell you want you need to do as you don't know the situation that the dog you're applying for came from and they're just trying to guide you to success!!
Thank you Jill and the petsave team!!

I applied to be a foster parent to dogs and cats. After the process was almost completed for me to become a foster parent, I ended up getting ghosted by this company. No messages, no calls back, this was 2 months ago and I still see posts on Facebook requesting foster parents for certain animals to this day and I was still ghosted...
I also gave them a call regarding a unhealthy stray cat recently and received a call back from someone (I forgot her name) who made me feel absolutely terrible for calling them and for taking care of the stray. I was told to never feed the stray again and that I was making her suffer more and more the more I waited to call them.
I called every shelter around me before hand and was giving proper infromation and was helped out by everyone of them with wonderful service. Then I called Pet Save and got shamed with so much attitude and no professionalism.
I think Pet Save is a wonderful idea and company and I understand the Pet industry is quite a mess but if someone is there to offer help, DON'T GHOST THEM. And if someone is calling regarding stray animals, DON'T SHAME THEM.

Do not ignore the “bad” but real reviews, as this is the exact treatment the team at pet saves provide to those willing to care for an animal.
I am going to say; if you’re thinking of fostering animals, choose another agency who can effectively, respectfully and appropriately communicate with their fosters and will grant their fosters transparency.
To Jill, you are good enough to foster but not good enough to adopt.
Jill makes fosters sign a piece of paper in relation to adopting, pretty much to utilize against them when they are not transparent and prefer someone else. Jill provided false hope for a foster in which she allowed the foster to apply for adoption of the pet, and stated that her next step was to find a vet. The foster made many attempts to find a vet, however Jill accepted a new application and then told the foster the pet needed to be dropped off for immunizations. The foster did so and then asked when they could pick up the pet in which Sam ignored them, and Jill ignored them. Jill finally stated on Friday that she would speak to the foster the following day and never followed up. The pet went to a new home without any notice, or communication. The foster also had the application in first.
This pet was very well loved and had been adjusting to the family and environment. I have seen this pet’s progress in the family dynamic. The foster is very heart broken by this as she has built a strong bond with this pet and has made gains.
It would have been in the best interest of the pet to stay with the foster who wanted to adopt, put in the application and made steps to do what was required to adopt, no matter the cost.
This is not a business I would want to help or work with. There are many other agency’s that also require fosters and people to adopt.
SPCA
infinity Haven cats and kittens,
Manitoulin pet rescue,
The Sudbury bunny rescue
And out of town rescue’s who would treat you and the pet with dignity.
I have taken the time to review the “bad” but real reviews. I am appalled by the treatment MANY individuals have had by Jill. It is a repeated pattern and very disheartening to see.
Pet Save you have lost my business until new management is brought in. Do better.
I have posted some of the reviews I have read for those who have taken the time to read this.

Thank you to Jill and her team for doing what they do. I called late Sun evening regarding a very sick and distressed cat I found. To my surprise someone answered the phone to help. They made themselves available after hours to drop him off. They promptly made a vet appt. for Bones. It was incredible to see all the love and care put into this beautiful soul. This is a volunteer group that has a very tough job. I was heartbroken to see the condition of Bones when I found him. I couldn't imagine seeing this on a regular basis, but Jill and her team do, and they are called to action. It's a very tough job and an important one that they take seriously. I can see Jill's priority is the well-being of the animals. Perhaps more volunteers are needed to ease the administrative strain they are experiencing but I can tell you this group is focused on the wellbeing of the animals and all the behind the scene care needed to assist the animals that need them most. I did my small part and donated.

What an amazing place! I highly recommend Jill and her team. Whether you are looking for an awesome place to volunteer, or donate, or you are looking to foster or adopt this is a great organization. There is such a huge need for more people like Jill and her team. If you can help by adopting, fostering or donating $$ please do!!

Worst treatment I have even had. Great for the people who were treated right and with professionalism and respect but that is not my dealings today. To read that people should ignore the bad reviews is wrong. I have been patiently waiting to hear back about a dog I have been interested in to be told No. Then to be told that I was entitled and aggressive for asking questions to understand better. When asked to talk to somebody else Jill refused and told me she was done talking. Then a min later getting lengthy texts that attacked me as a person. This lady needs to be checked in on. I am all for keeping animals safe but this is not necessary. She is unprofessional and unstable and unkind. Please be aware!

Multiple calls and even a form that we filled out to adopt a cat from through Petsmart were never returned. We were told Jill would call us back and we never heard from her. We gave them time and patience and we heard nothing. Now I have seen the numerous negative reviews towards Jill. I can't say we were treated badly because we never got a call back or anything. We had better experiences at the SPCA and Small Thing Cats. We finally adopted our furry friend Mansour and he is the best. I write this because I saw a reply to a positive review on here from Petsave saying "People feel entitled". No people want to help animals and judging from all the negative reviews, Petsave has someone who is terrible at communication and decides who is good enough by their own standards to adopt. I have a dog and a cat, my cat thay passed away back in January was 18 years when he passed away. He was well taken care off and I miss him dearly. We waited on Jill to call us and try to help us in finding a cat to fill the void that we had in our home. She didn't call us back at all. Not even a call to say she has been busy, or even to talk about the adoption form we filled out at Petsmart. Your supposed to be helping animals find homes with good people, but you put your opinion first. Won't be going through you guys for an animal, get better management to help these animals.

Jill and sam made my wife feel terrible about wanting to adopt a wonderful dog to a loving home over thier personal views of our cats veterinarian visit history. Once again we were willing to get her a checkup to prove she is healthy and happy but they went ahead and reposted the add for adoption. They are keeping this animal from happiness because of their personal views. Our experience with jill and sam was rude and judgemental and they only talked on the phone! Wow. Just wow

People stepping up to help animals. 5 stars. To the ones that say they are too picky, try volunteering there for a bit and get your eyes opened.
