A great place to go for breakfast, lunch, or just coffee and a snack. Definitely worth checking out!

Today (Sun. Feb. 25. 2024) marked our first and final visit to this coffee shop. Our hopes for a delightful pastry indulgence at 2 PM were dashed when we found their selection depleted, save for one lonely pastry. The cashier’s response to our inquiry about the pastries was dishearteningly sarcastic, setting a less-than-welcoming tone for our inaugural experience.Opting to try their guac toast after seeing another patron enjoy it, we were taken aback by the 10-minute wait time for a seemingly simple dish. Expressing our surprise only garnered more sarcasm and a dismissive remark about the usual tardiness of their food preparation process. It’s disheartening when even a straightforward request for a menu item feels like an inconvenience.A quick glance at other reviews confirms that our encounter was not an isolated incident but rather a recurring theme. It’s a shame that such lackluster service appears to be the norm here. Needless to say, we won’t be returning. For those in search of exceptional coffee and service, we recommend looking elsewhere. As for management, perhaps addressing customer concerns with genuine care rather than dismissive responses would be a more effective approach.

Had a productive business meeting at Locomotive Cafe and couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere. The ambiance is cozy yet professional, perfect for discussions and brainstorming sessions. The coffee was excellent, and the food was delicious, providing the ideal fuel for our discussions. We're already planning our next meeting here. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great spot to get work done or simply enjoy a relaxing meal. We'll definitely be returning!

Enjoyed a delicious blueberry scone (warmed to perfection) and incomparable decaf americano. The staff provided great service - very friendly and always make me feel welcome. it works well as a space to work from because of their space and Wi-Fi. Also, a cool spot to hang out with a friend and catch-up.

I dont like being reprimanded! Unfortunately, the employee I dealt with seemed to be more focused on harping on the issue rather than genuinely assisting. Will not be going

Good atmosphere. Not a great chai latte which is a bummer. The doughnut tasted like air. But good vibes and good people.

Our neighbourhood cafe/bar with consistently GR8 pours and a solid offering of breakfast and lunch options as well as daily baked goods. Will, the owner, has created a warm comforting community space and his excellent staff serve up an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. This location has its own unique neighbourhood feel as does the sister location in old North. Highly recommended.

Update Jan 22: sorry... i see you have 'reasoning' for everything except the use of bad language. Is that appropriate to customers these days? She tried to counteract her behaviour by giving a glowing review shortly after mine. Right A?-----Update: whether or not your hours are posted does not justify rude arrogant staff. I suggest you up your game. With that kind of treatment you will lose patrons.-----First time being at this location. All was fine till end of day. Was in a meeting with 2 other ladies and we did not know it closed at 4. We also did not hear an announcement... which is to be expected when you are focused on your meeting. 4:15 we were snarkily told to leave by one of the barristas. We apologized and said we didn't know. She followed with... the fact she made an announcement (none of us heard) and that she was not going to each table. It was very rude. And no it was not a miscommunication. This was today BTW and I have 2 ladies who will back this up. We had apologized so... I think if you want to flourish, you need a staff meeting on engaging with customers.
