Pretty good for a no frills. It's clean, and prices are decent for the quality food they have.I usually avoid nofrills but this one is good.

I’ve lived near and shopped at this no frills for almost four years now, in the last couple of months I’ve had such terrible experiences with the staff that I’m going to start shopping at another no frills farther from my home. I’ve always used the self checkouts since 90% of the time when I’m in there they only have one or two people on registers with people lined up waiting and the self checkout never has a wait. Recently they’ve started giving me a hard time when using the self checkout. A few weeks ago I was shopping at a pretty busy time of day, I had a cart but it was nowhere near full, grabbed it to carry the drinks I was purchasing. I get to the checkouts and they had three open, each one with 4-5 people waiting with large carts of items, I went to the self checkout because it was empty and I was in a bit of a hurry, I started scanning my things and a younger girl wearing a hijab came out of that little room and told me I wasn’t allowed to use the self checkout because I had a cart, I told her I always come through the self checkout with my cart and never had an issue before. She replied that’s never been allowed so you need to go to the regular cashier. I replied that I don’t have many items and the regular cashiers all have pretty big lines. She told me I am not allowed to use the self check out and made me take my stuff I had already scanned back into my cart and go wait in the line (I ended up waiting in line for 20 minutes to buy some pop and water). This week I was in there pretty early in the morning and the store was quiet, there were two people waiting for the regular cashier and not one person in self checkout so I went there as usual. As soon as I started scanning my things the same girl came out and was so rude, telling me that the self checkout is 15 items or less and that I definitely have more than 15 items in my basket. I said oh I’m so sorry it might be 16 or 17 but it’s still a small basket, she sighed at me and stood breathing over my neck the entire time I checked out. I was rearranging things in my bag and the scanner started flashing because of the weights and she let out a loud sigh and goes it’s because you’re moving things around, you can’t do that, in a pretty aggressive tone. Then demands what was the last item you scanned? I told her as I have nothing to hide (she should know anyways since she was in my personal space watching my every move) and she let out another exaggerated sigh as she fixed the machine.I understand these people are just doing their jobs but the lack of customer service or just plain human kindness is unbelievable at this location. If the self checkouts are that much of a hassle open more cashiers so people aren’t lined up down the aisles. At this point I would rather drive an extra 20 minutes to shop at a better no frills that doesn’t berate the customers trying to purchase their products.

Excellent store was getting so fed up with Fanshawe location, literally nothing left in the meat section. Zero, nothing. This store fully stocked on a Sunday with all sale items. It's further for me to go but never going back to Fanshawe location ever. Waste of time.

Not the best layout for a grocery store for how I prefer to shop, but it gets the job done. Would be nice if fitting two carts side-by-side in an aisle comfortably wasn't considered a "frill", but the store delivers fine on food quality and freshness.Would go for 3.5 stars if I could, but "liked it" is a bit of a stretch. It's a grocery store.

Good grocery store. Ask who they price match with because they won't tell you until you ask each specific place.

My first visit to this particular location left a horrible taste in my mouth. The manager, Laura, was the most rude and just play mean individual I've ever met in customer service. I went in for a small shop I didn't have change for the cart so I used to basket because the girl at the cashier said she wasn't allowed to give change there for the carts and she was very nice about it but she seems scared to do it so I just used a handheld basket. Got what I needed checked out, cashier was very kind and sweet young lady put my items in my van rummage through to find a quarter in my van and got a cart so I can go back in and get the water cuz I couldn't carry it without the c a r t. Had two cases of water and two small cakes went to self checkout. Laura told me I could only use two of the many tills because I had a cart. The first one she directed me to wouldn't scan my Optimum card I thought maybe that cuz it was spilled milk on the scanner so I asked if she could wipe it and try again she kept blaming my phone I told her the cashier had no trouble with it when I just went through so my phone was fine I asked if I can move to the other register I was allowed to use and she's scoffed at me and I said I'm going to try it anyway so I went to the other register and it worked first try and she told me to use the handheld scanner for my water which is obvious since it's so heavy made sense. Then I tried to use the handheld scanner for my two small cakes as they were decorated with icing on the top and the barcode was on the side so I would have had to flip them over to use the scanner on the thing she yelled at me and said I could not use the handheld scanner for the cakes and I explained to her and showed her that the barcode was on the side and said shall I tip them over and ruin the icing or can I just use the scanner she states firmly again you can't use the hand scanner you have to scan them on the thing! it won't work. I said I'm going to use the handheld scanner because I'm not going to have a ruined cake and she raised her voice at me and said next time use the manned cashier Lane. There was a young lady in the self checkout who helped me nicely as Laura threw her hands up and walked away I said my goodness what is her name to the young lady and she turned around and said l a u r a Laura I'm the manager and then she mumbled something and went into the little room with the one way mirror all flustered over the interaction the young girl who was helping me apologized profusely for how Laura treated me and I reassured her it was fine it's not her fault I appreciate her kindness and she understood that I didn't want to ruin my cakes I just couldn't believe something so little the scanning a cake can result in such anger happy New Year Laura I hope happiness finds you and you can treat your customers with a little bit of dignity as they deserve it.

Good prices. Good fresh veggies. Some product brand gaps. Ie missing some Bicks pickles. Also very frustrating that can't use the self check out after 15 items in your cart. Reduced my rating because of this.
