Not recommended -Gets things free, sells at high prices, keeps profits, could do more for the community , owner is a multi millionaire, there are other thrift stores that give back to the community Seems like the smaller local thrift stores care more about people TVI reported $249.5 million in revenue in the last five years, but the amount paid to charity by TVI during that time frame fell from 16.57 percent to 3.32 percent.” Many Value Village shoppers may still believe it's a nonprofit, say its critics.May 10, 2023

Some decent deals, but overall they are over pricing everything. Many, many items priced at more than the dollar store and they're dollar store items. ?♂️

No change rooms -- what is this about? COVID is over. Change rooms are super important when purchasing clothing. It's a pain to have to go home, realize something doesn't fit and make another trip back just to return. Also, prices are often really high for used items.

Was just here at the dundas location, to return an item that I purchased only to find out its store exchange only and you have 14days to do so. That wouldn't be an issue but they removed all the change rooms so now you can't try on the cloths before purchased, and they only do exchange. The place has gone down hill...over-priced items , half broken zippers holes in pants , and now this....0 stars for this location.

Decent prices, its a value village hit or miss. But people pricing need to sort though things better. Today in the kids section, I found a bag of Barbie clothing with a used kleenex inside the bag with who knows what on it?! Come on, how was this missed? This is beyond disgusting.

Bad. Terrible staff. Horrible "service". I heard the manager complaining about working and it being busy. There are definitely some nice clothes but they are ridiculously overpriced now. It felt greedy and mean and unwelcoming and a little dirty :(. Thumbs all the way down. Both of 'em. Oh, I would be remiss if I didn't say that the security guard was very friendly and helpful (the only staff that was).

I recently had the pleasure of visiting value village. It was a great experience. This location has a great selection of items at decent prices. Although it is somewhat time consuming, if you have the patience you will find Ireland that we unique and one of a kindly pieces. Whether you’re a thrifty shopper or simply enjoy finding a hidden gem, this location is worth a visit.

If you have the time I can guarantee you'll find what you're looking for. 4 star instead of 5 cuz some of the prices are a little Xtreme when "whoever" decides they think they have something special or name brand the price tag is a whole lot more than anyone wants to pay for something that has been used who knows how many times by a person who came to the conclusion that they are garbage to them! I suggest a set price for every pair of shorts \shoes\shirts etc... NO MATTER THE NAME ON IT. Do this and I'll bump u up to 5 stars?!??

They got rid of their change rooms, and only allow exchange - no returns. If your buying tops it's easy to judge sizing, but bottoms are a whole other thing. It's super annoying to have to go back and exchange over and over until you can find something that fits :/

The Upsides,If you know what you want but not specifics, more in likely you'll find something you'll need or want. And if you have an eye for tiny things, knick knacks, odd books, and second hand (good condition) clothing, they have it here.I go there for arts and crafts, books, knick knacks and sometimes just to browze, and I've came out with a stack of books for under 75$. I came out with several items that I could use for my spiritual practice within the months as well, such as offering bowls, cups, and statues such as an Anubis statue, a spynx, etc. It's like a home away from home when I have $20 bucks spare for a new pair of pants or some new veils / scarfs. And if you are into the occult practices, I highly suggest you check out the place, and keep your eyes open. However I recommend that with almost every second hand store. The Downsides,The management could use some work because I went in there last time and heard one of the managers yelling harshly at one of the cashiers. Thought about applying as I'm looking for a new job, but remembering that has got me turned off.In case you have IBS, you have to walk to the front for an associate for the bathroom, so heads up if you need to go, and go fast.Lastly, I think the only other downside is that there is some cluttered areas, but as with most second hand stores it's to be expected. If you're sensitive (or easily overwhelmed), some areas may be a bit exhausting to browse through.Hopefully this helps many others. ❤

Terrible customer service, terrible management. Terrible staff would rather go to any other store available and pay 10 times more than go to this store. If I could give it a 0 out of 0 stars, I would.

For a thrift shop, their prices have always been a little exorbitant. That said, I have always enjoyed perusing their aisles and since age 14 have made many an awesome find. From a long sleeved shirt styled with comicbook-like art; Countless pants, shirts, and many a buys that sat in the back of my closet waiting for their time, lol. It's higher end and far more merchandise than your Salvation Army, small time places like My Neighbour's Closet and therefore wider variety and so forth with the only true competitive company being that of Talize (a great thrift store in its own right).
