I've only been going to this location for about 6 months, and yes, a dollar for a cart is annoying, but they're far from the only place that does that. My biggest issue with this place is the security. I get that this isn't the best area of town, and they get flooded with teenagers daily, but the security company they've hired is horrible. On my second visit there, they were harassing a man, who hadn't done anything wrong, based on where the conversation ended up. He asked what company they worked for and the answer was "Don't worry about it" and they rushed back inside. That's actually against their licensing board's policy, and if they're properly licensed, they would know that. You DO have to identify, or lose your license. I'm guessing Walmart went with the lowest bidder on this contract, because they're a bunch of cowboys who seem to like acting tough. They're absolutely costing this place customers, and should reconsider, whenever the contract is up.

Have been a customer at this Walmart location since the 90’s. Have seen the customer service go from superior to an absolute failure. Some major issues with this store that need to be addressed internally:-Security team & staff need to STOP racially profiling all black customers and male staff need to STOP making female customers feel threatened and uncomfortable when approached. Numerous times, as a female, I have had my personal space uncomfortable invaded by male employees in grocery aisles that were empty of other customers and staff. This is predatory behaviour and with the amount of young females in the area, this NEEDS to be addressed.-Teach the staff what true customer service is. Standing around ignoring customers because you’re having a conversation with a coworker or too busy on your phone is NOT an adequate enough reason to have an over all low store customer service standard. There are very few employees that work here who have exceptionally great customer service skills, they have been employed at store #3049 for over 5 years. 99% of their new hires are terrible at their jobs.-Stock of product. This store has both a very large back storeroom as well as an overnight stock crew to replenish the store. Each time they receive a truck (every day) there is product scattered in the store throughout making it hard for customers to manoeuvre safely. This keeps the store looking disorganized and very unkempt.-Meat products. When meat was first introduced as part of the grocery shopping experience at this Walmart Super centre, there was someone who monitored temperature and ensures it met health and safety standards. Now, buying any meat from this section, you are risking your health as it’s never maintained properly and is always full of meat that should NOT be sold for human consumption.-Self checkout. If you expect customers to do the job of a cashier because Walmart, as a company refuses to hire cashiers, then it should be substantially more organized. It is absolute chaos and the monitoring staff that stand around in groups rarely pay attention enough to offer help without being flagged down to assist because they are too busy chatting with each other or on their phones.-Vagrants. The store knows this is an issue and has been for years, COVID only exposed just how bad it really was. Walmart is a multimillion dollar corporation company that should be worried about its bottom line but seriously fails at this. Employees and customers are left in harms way because security is too busy focusing on harassing paying customers rather than people actually stealing. Please bring in a better security company all together. Please re-train the staff. Get a new, less racially motivated, security staff. Hire people who are properly trained to work with meat. The new direction of making the store more culturally diverse to shoppers is extremely welcomed because the store was very whitewashed before but the complete turnover of what once was an extremely friendly and hardworking staff to what is now there is just a slap in the face to customers.

Penny was such a kind lady to show us around to where ever aisle we needed, she walked us to the item we were looking for. Most employees just point and say which direction to go or some answered with “I don’t know” from fellow employees. But PENNY was amazing and very helpful but very happy to help! We will come back to this location easily because of Penny! Thank Penny!

I’ve been at this walmart for the first time and probably my last as well. I went there with my friends and we had shopping bags from other store. I quickly bought something that I needed and were leaving when the lady at exit (not even the security) demanded the receipt, we didn’t have any problem with that even though there is no Walmart policy to ask receipts from paying customers but she even wanted to check our other shopping bags that were not even from Walmart. We showed our bags but then realized that I dropped something while I was in Walmart and we went back the same way and when we came back to exit in 2 minutes the same lady asked to check our bags again saying “ l’ve to check your bags”. This is so ridiculous. You have no right to check customer’s bags unless there is a real theft or suspicious wrongdoings.

A comprehensive establishment offers an extensive array of products designed to meet the diverse needs of a multicultural clientele. The staff is consistently responsive and attentive, though it's worth noting that checkout queues can occasionally become congested. Nevertheless, this store effectively addresses a wide range of shopping requirements, spanning from groceries to clothing, bedding, and electronics.

Photo center is a complete mess. They don't have orders organized by last name or order number.. just cabinets full of stacks of envelopes. There were multiple people waiting for their prepaid online orders today and they told us they weren't there.. clean up your drawers!!! Left after 30 mins without my order.... What a waste of money and time!

I am a female who was shopping tonight on my own when was stopped with an unlawful arrest in the parking lot tonight after carrying out the playpen and highchair i purchased because I didn’t have a loonie for a cart. The male security guard badge number 1135077 and his male floor walker both chased me down in the parking lot and stopped me and accused me of stealing.I showed my receipt and they still didn’t let me go with my items right away. I asked for the name and badge number of the uniformed security guard. He told me I could take a photo. His unidentified floor walker told him not to let me take his photo before they took off. This is not okay. Shame on you Walmart and your security.

everytime i come here it's worse than the time before. the staff are incompetent, the shelves and price tags are often empty, missing or completely out of order. the management is a joke and don't care in the least about customer service. they need to shut this place down or fire all their staff and start over. 0/10 DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! there are other walmarts in the city.

Now we have to pay for a cart! I do not carry money with me in this electric funds world, bad move Walmart. I was unable to buy more than I could carry so money lost to you Walmart as I went elsewhere to finish my shopping that provided me a cart at no cost. Also self checkouts are disgustingly dirty and full of sticky dust bunnies and spills and just not taken care of. I will never, ever set foot in this place again. My hard earned money will be spent somewhere else for the things I need.

Just arrived to the store 5 mins ago and was informed the store will get closed at 10 going forward so we're refused to enter. Walmart never announced new timings officially or even on the site. I wonder if corporate knows about it. Would love to discuss more about it.

My main issue is with the mobility carts or lack there of for people with disabilities and seniors. For over a year now there has been only 1 cart and people that needs one has to wait upwards a hour for one to be available. This is just ridiculous for a company this big not to have more than 1 cart for people that needs it. They need to get more of them, it isn't right seniors and people with disabilities has to wait like that just to do their shopping.

Very happy to see this makeup return system in place and working.Unfortunately, every time I visit, there’s some sort of theft taking place, cops, fights in the parking lot.I witnessed a man throwing a can of beans at security’s head.Maybe enhance security?

Use to be a fantastic Walmart, expect the last 6 to 8 months. Everything has rapidly declined.Meat section - if it's not stocked it's got meat thats going bad.Carts - everytime I've been here the in the last 2 months there's none I gotta walk back outside to get one.Bathroom - front washroom been out of service for like 2 months, rear washroom stalls dirty, out of commission for about a month.Stock on shelves - most the time it's empty can't find what your looking for. I've come 4 times looking for 1 item that every other store has had to grab it from the no frills at the other end.Staff - there's nothing bad I can say about the staff every interaction I've had, they've been polite.

Halal meat portion is not being taken care off, every visit I see visibly rotting and black meat in Halal meat section regardless of having good best before dates. Some workers probably don’t like to touch meat because of their specific background. And majority of them work there so Walmart please close the Halal meat section and create better working environment for people who don’t like to work with meat.

They're terrible at restocking their shelves, and when they do they don't always do it right. Last week I bought a pair of shorts thinking they had 34 inch waist because they were on a hanger that said 34 instead the shorts were only 30 inch waist. Never trust the hangers, if there was another Walmart within walking distance I would go to it but there isn't.
