Called 4 times to be put on hold and then disconnected. I have reached out to Hyundai Crowfoot in Calgary, monthly to be told each time that it will be resolved within 5–7 business days, since August 2023.It is now January 2024, and the issue of having confirmation of the extended warranty returned, has not been received, in writing or in cash. Please shop somewhere else.

Recently in the news for trying to charge a customer $60,000 to replace a battery in Ioniq 5. The vehicle is only few months old and cost $60,000 brand new To top it off one of their execs said the replacement cost varies depending on the situation… what ???!! … just read the rest of the reviews here and you’ll know to keep away.

The only reason I leased a new Ioniq 5, was because of the free charging they offer at the Headquarters. Happy customer for 6 years now...

Hyundai has lemon policy for it's product sold to customer. Do not through your hard earn money to buy hyundai cars. They have recall and lawsuits for their defected engines but they do not honour warranty once something goes wrong with your car. I have 2015 Santafe sport 2.0t engine started making lound knoking noice took it to Kingscross hyundai service center for daignose. They called me with saying engine is siezed due to bearing failure. they opened up case with hyundai headoffice. asked me a maintenance records but they don't ecxacty tell you how many years back or months or oilchange reciept to submit. They will try to decline warranty at their best. Stay away from Hyundai and Kia and specially Kings cross hyundai service center.

I want to express my profound dissatisfaction with the appalling conduct of Spencer Luk, the dealership sales of Don Velley North location. Luk proved to be utterly untrustworthy, weaving a web of lies between me and my family during the car ordering process. His deceit reached an outrageous extent when he falsely claimed my vehicle registration had expired, pressuring me to urgently update it or face police repercussions.Upon deciding to cancel my order due to Luk's lack of credibility, the nightmare escalated. When I called to notify him of the cancellation, he initially agreed but later responded with a shockingly rude attitude. He not only accused me baselessly but also shifted blame onto us and had the audacity to defame us for asking him to carry out an ethical action. His handling of the situation was not only unprofessional but also downright despicable. Two weeks later, when I visited the dealership seeking resolution, I uncovered the shocking revelation that Luk had inaccurately reported my cancellation request. Despite my efforts for a peaceful resolution, the branch's response was nothing short of inadequate, offering a mere assurance to 'follow up.'This raises serious concerns about the disparity in how customers are treated. I find it perplexing that my experience sharply contrasts with the positive Google reviews. Spencer Luk has been a nightmare, and I share my story not only as a warning but also to demand accountability and rectification for this distressing ordeal. If possible, I wouldn't even give a single star for Spencer Luk.

Hyundai will not take responsibility for manufacturing issues. Their customer representatives will not provide a resolution and refuses to give the costumer an opportunity to discuss the matter with the manager. Don't buy a car from hyundai as you will not get any support from them once something goes wrong with the car that is a manufacturing issue.

Once again Hyundai Grimsby has given outstanding service and gone beyond what l expected. Our friend Zak who just sold me my 2020 Tucson help so much when my husband gave up driving and we took his car to sell. The whole team are really like family. Outstanding customer service. Purchased a new 2021 Tuscon. So far there's been one recall on it, my headlight already needed to be replaced which was 65.00, my exhaust is melting my bumper, my sunroof broke and when they fixed it they didn't seal it properly so it sounds like I'm flying a jet. Lastly, 3 different types of Hyundai's the same year as mine had issues with the windshields cracking as they weren't sealing them properly. Mine has now cracked with no chips from something hitting it. I have now waited 2 weeks for the service department to get back to me about these issues. I called them and their response was, we are at the mercy of the warranty department. I would NOT recommend buying a Hyundai and if I could return mine I would!

I was so excited when I first bought my 21 Veloster N awsome car to drive.....until their engine decided to stop functioning as it should and blew up. This car has 34000 km on it which by any means is not alot and this car has been in one of your dealers waiting on work because your warranty department can't figure out why it happened so, some how this is my fault and I've been paying for this thing for 3 months and haven't even been able to drive it. Now I have messaged repetitively to the service department to figure this out because I'm about to leave country for work yet no one can give me an answer......I have recommended your vehicles to many people who have purchased cars from you I am no longer sure I will. I am gravly disappoint.

I am experiencing issues with AWD coupler on my Hyundai Palisade. There is thumping noise when accelerating and turning the car from a stop. I brought my car in to the dealer multiple times, they acknowledged the issue but don't know how to fix it since the onboard computer is not 'giving a code.' This issue is wide spread on many Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride forums. I contacted the corporate multiple times to no avail. I worry about my warranty running out without them fixing it, then its going to be at least 2k out of pocket. They should issue a recall (1 53000-4G500 CARRIER ASSY-DIFF). I have no other places to voice my concern. Hence leaving this review to go public. The next step will be CBC market place.

ZERO STARSHyundai says its cars are Wah! In reality, they’re the opposite: Blah! Because of their defective engines, and the way they’re tearing us, like many others, we are living the WORST NIGHTMARE! Our story starts when one day minding our business Driving on the 401 highway, the engine of our fairly new Hyundai Santa Fe XL 3.3 litre V6 Limited suddenly failed without any warning whatsoever almost causing us to get into an accident. At only 147,000 kms (we just recently bought it used at a Hyundai dealer a few thousand kms before). After having to tow it to a Hyundai dealer, we were shocked 10 days later to learn that we needed a new engine! No neglect or anything on our part, and the there was plenty of oil and no leaks! Although out of the manufacture warranty, the dealer put in a request for a goodwill repair, but Hyundai Canada played games for weeks, ultimately denying the claim. As we later discovered, the failure occurred at the bottom of the engine (crankshaft) that apparently was defective, causing total engine failure. There is an open recall for this very reason, but it’s VIN number specific- but our car is not one of the VIN numbers, but it obviously should be, as it suffered the same issues! We provided proof of this directly from the dealership at our own expense (that the engine was defective) but they still rejected the request to cover the repair, while also failing to address the defect issue, just kept on saying we were out to warranty (which we knew already). We wasted months because of no response from Hyundai Canada while the car was sitting. As it stands now, we are left with a completely dead car! If we want to fix it - it will cost 16k to repair with used engine or 20k with a brand new engine! We were offered $500 or so that our dealer could get at an auction, in contrast, these cars (on the market) normally go for $24k! We have many lost expenses, taxi/car rental expenses and we still owe money on the car to the bank and have monthly car and insurance payments not to mention stress and anxiety on us and our kids, for whom we used this car, as a result of this. Hyundai Canada and their so-called Customer Relations department are liars, unprofessional, and care nothing about their customers. They know very well this is an engine defect, but they’re refusing to do the right thing to fix it! Needless to say, we will never buy another car from them. People cannot let Hyundai Canada getaway with these injustices. They don’t stand behind their products or mistakes (defective engines). They’d rather let customers drive around with these defects endangering themselves to get killed in accident and/or be financially ruined by losing an expensive car entirely, than take responsibility or do the right thing! They have NO HONOUR! Every time a customer who’s engine fails feels the pressure of repairing the car with a new or used Hyundai at their own cost, if they can afford to, or is forced to have to trade it in for practically nothing to buy another Hyundai, puts more money in the pocket of Hyundai! Time to speak out against this kind of CAPITALISM and BOYCOTT their products. If you search online there are online Petitions against Hyundai Canada. We suggest people sign them and protest against them.
