I bought a leather recliner at this location a few years ago. At the time, sales staff sold me a leather care package and warranty. I was told I can get refills on the leather cleaner and wax for free when I finish the bottles. Never doubt it for a second since this store has been around for many years and I thought they would care about their reputation. I came in today to get a refill for the very first time and was told I can’t get refills. And staff acknowledged they told other customers they can come in for refill as well in the past. however it’s the company that doesn’t want honour it any more. Very disappointed.

It’s not every day that I feel compelled to write a review about buying furniture, but today is that day. I had the pleasure of meeting Ying at La-z-boy in Markham and I’ve never felt more comfortable and happy buying a couch in my life (not a sentence I imagined myself having to write). This is just my chance to thank him publicly for being so awesome. Also special thanks to Cesar as well helping me with the custom couch order. Thanks gentlemen!

Third time buying from Lazy Boy. Love the quality and selection of items including decor. Denise Chan impressed us with her attentiveness but not the hovering kind. She was extremely pleasant , knowledgeable and friendly. She provided us with ph8 E numbers and checked in to see if we were pleased with what we purchased.Will always buy from her in the future!

We had a great experience at La-Z-Boy Markham. Denise was so friendly and knowledgeable and helped us find the perfect chair within our budget. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Denise and La-Z-Boy Markham. Even the delivery team and customer care unit were great, accommodating and easy to work with. Will definitely be back for our future furniture needs.

We were immediately greeted by a very warm and friendly sales person named Bruce who promptly showed us the options we had in mind, never pressuring us and only being helpful. He made us feel like he was our partner and was very happy when we were able to find the right chair for us, long-term. Dear Sir/Madam,With this letter I would like to thank Denise Chan for the wonderful experience I had purchasing recliner for my Mom. Denise with professional knowledge of the products your store has gave me the best advice possible. I have 86 years old Mom at home and her ability to move is very restrictive. As she has a long list of diagnoses one of the doctor's advice was to keep her legs in horizontal position. As the situation was not a standard one and I could not bring my mother in store, I am so thankful to Denise as she asked many questions to understand what will be a best choice for my Mom. When I made a choice it took just minutes to check the availability of the product and making an arrangement for the delivery. It is important to say that all the possible discounts were applied. The recliner was delivered today and my Mom really likes it!It was such a pleasure working with Denise and get the best possible product!I appreciate very much Denise's patience, knowledge, professionalism and kindness!Best regards,Janet Tomson

Bruce is very patient and knowledgeable. With so many options available, it can be quite overwhelming when making a decision, but we were able to narrow down to what suit our needs once we listed our requirements and constraints. We are excited for our set to arrive. It feels like we are building our own ideal sofa set from scratch. What a unique experience.

Amazing experience with Denise at La-Z-Boy Markham. We needed a recliner but were a bit overwhelmed with all the options available. Denise asked really thoughtful questions to have us think about our needs and what would benefit us. We were never rushed, felt no sales pressure and her product knowledge was incredible. We left the store with a purchase we are confident in and it felt like shopping with an old friend. I would seek her out if you are looking to make a purchase.

To the manager/owner of this LazBoy location,Good day. As a potential customer, I’m writing to report a not-so-pleasant experience with this Markham location. Based on the way we were treated, I would highly recommend the Chinese lady sales with glasses (sorry I did not catch her name as she did not introduce herself nor give us a business card) to take some training on customer service. We sat on a sofa for 10 minutes and was chatting, and this lady came up to us asking if we were thinking of buying, if not, “with us sitting there, she could not take other customers”. On Saturday afternoon, there literally was no customers at all, at least not in our section within 5m around us. We were chatting just about how comfy the sofa was and that was when we were treated like this, with no further arguments, we left disappointed. I might still consider purchasing in the future but definitely not in the Markham store nor if this was the way that folks are treated. I hope you seriously consider this,Thank you!Hua

I hope I could give zero stars. If you can find the item you want somewhere else, DO NOT COME HERE! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL after you paid deposit. I ordered a $3000 recliner as the nursing chair two months ago and were told delivery date would be provided to me within 2 weeks. No one ever reached out. I also called store multiple times to follow up on the delivery date. They told me they would get back to me later each time and no one ever called back. Now I have to drag my 9 month pregnant body to the store and find out the date.

I received a letter from this store claiming that they are closing down and that they will be holding a clear out sale to get rid of all furniture before the store is closed down. I went there and was greeted by the manager and asked him how come everything is so expensive still. He laughed and said that this is all a part of their promotion. Very shady if you ask me. why lie to customers? they hold all kinds of promotions like “overstock Sale” and guess what, thats a lie too lol. their prices are insane and most of their designs are outdated. Do yourself a favour and go to a furniture mall and you will get a great bargain. thats what i did.

Service from the store staff was great. However, after a long wait, our chair arrived and we were not satisfied with the workmanship or care taken to assemble the chair. There are several wrinkles or buckles in the leather. According to La-Z-Boy: "Leather is a natural product and can experience wrinkles/scars/bites/veins/brands all over. No two animal hides or skins are identical and can experience differences on each part of a product. This is natural and out of our control... We will repair as necessary to ensure your product meets La-Z-Boy standards. These concerns would not be considered defects under our warranty policy." The company offered to send out a technician "to touch up the area missing leather" - however, the wrinkled seams are not repairable and are not missing leather. I always thought that LA-Z-Boy was a "high-end" manufacturer of leather furniture - unfortunately, this appears not to be the case. Unless you get a chance to see your furniture before ordering, I strongly suggest that you shop elsewhere. Sad that a company with a long history of business integrity now demonstrates such poor customer service.

I can't say enough good things about Steve Kalli at Hwy 7 and Woodbine. I bypassed other LBoy stores as I'd heard how great he was. He is one of the most helpful, knowledgeable and empathetic sales persons I've come across; and I'm an older senior, so I've come across many. Despite a busy day, his attention was solely on me, as I needed a new chair following surgery. My recommendation is, go to Steve and you won't regret it! (p.s. I chose the Rowan for comfort)
