Terrible experience trying to get a consult with the financial advisor for mortgage renewal online and in person.Tried to get online appts but they never call and at the end of the day just sends you an email saying the appt is cancelled, so just wasted the whole day waiting for their phone call.Did this twice to us.So decided to walk in to see a financial advisor which thankfully we got, but then had to make another appt to finalize. On the day of the appt. They say oh sorry her schedule has changed and is not here today! Why can’t they just call or email to reschedule. We came all the way to be told oh sorry she’s not in today when she booked the appt herself the week before!Her colleague then said there was a msg that she tried calling the day before but me and my husband didn’t get any missed calls in our call log. Mortgage renewal is such a time sensitive thing in this day and age.Do not book with Kiran Ali as your financial advisor. She screws you over!

Excellent service plus more (he also tended to my son's financial needs), Johnny Nguyen the financial advisor and mutual funds advisor was knowledgeable and I appreciated his attention to details. I learnt specifics about RESP even after dealing with these funds for the past 3 years. The post appointment service was impressive. Great Job hiring this young professional to our Scotia Branch!! Worist customer servise I have ever recieved. Silly bank counters don't know the policy for opening a new debet card and required two pieces of ID because they afraid it would a fraud??? What kind of d*** thinking is this in 2021? The email notification I've got just indicates bringing 1 piece of government issued ID. Even immigrantion could be done online by uploading the documents. Such a shame.

Honestly what’s happening with Scotiabank?!?! The only bank, even my own branch, where the bank manager is as useful as the teller. No care in the world. I have been banking with them many years, & they cannot clear a simple bank draft.Cibc ? BMO ? RBC? no problems & take care of their customers. I think Scotiabank has become so big from their greed over the years that they don’t care about their customers anymore. Will take my money somewhere else in future. If I could give them zero I would because of their incompetence I could lose a lot of money. One very unsatisfied customer
