This afternoon I was shopping for running shoes. I picked out a display model asked the salesperson if the sign that mentioned all regular price merchandise was reduced 25% applied to the Assics shoes I was trying on. He replied that it did.
After looking at a few different shoes I took the pair I tried on to the cashier. After a few scans the cashier told me the price. I mentioned that the she told me the regular price, not the discounted price. She scanned the barcode again. Still the regular price. I mentioned the sign again (there were many all over the store).
Another clerk mentioned that she experienced the same issue, that a pair of Ascics she scanned earlier also remained at the regular price.
How is it that the scanning issue wasn't addressed?
What a waste of my time! This is clearly a case of flagrant false advertising but even worse that some staff knew about it and did nothing to address it, and that other staff incorrectly told potential customers information that was false.
I know I will never return to this store. Such a waste of time due to complete incompetence. Ridiculous.

Went to store nov 1 lunch time. Only one staff is present for the whole store. Was told someone will come out to help with a purchase but no one showed up for 15mins. so I went to the back to check. Found about 5 of them in one room. Then was told by the guy in photo “u cannot be here” twice without offering an apology.

This 5 star review goes to Colin. We wanted to mold a new skate we bought from Sportcheck and to fix a sharpening issue. We were happy to see the Colin was working (5 pm August 9 2024). As he helped us out before.
Colin was able to help us with the molding and sharpening smoothly and professionally. Thank you so much.

The best sports chek highly recommend I got a nice Nike tech for a good price and and really good Kyle Lowry Jersey there before the service was super good and they are really polite overall definitely deserves 5 stars everything about this was amazing .They also have a wide variety of stuff it is super impressive.The manger is also great.

Staff was helpful and selection is decent. My only complaint (which doesn't have anything to do with SportChek) is that this area is a dead zone for Rogers mobile reception (at least on the data side).

On June 5th, I went to the store pick up my bike. But after riding twice for a total of 12 kilometers, my rear tire blew out. On June 12th, I took it back to the store for repair. The staff told me that it under warranty and that it could be repaired on June 16th. When I went to pick up the bike on June 17th, the staff told me the rear tire was not covered by the warranty and they did not repair it for me. But isn’t this a tire quality problem? Why do I need to pay for this? They gave me two options: 1. I can take my bike and fix it myself; 2. They will help me order parts to repair it. But when I asked the staff I need to pay or warranty, he said that he need to ask their manager and then they will notify me. I left the bike in the store until now. They have not called or emailed me. I bought this bike for three weeks and it was in the store for two weeks! The store did not help me at all!

Very poor customer service. Nobody wanted to help you there. There was only one guy who was already busy helping other amd asked me to wait. Almost waited 10 min then I Went to front checkout/cashier ppl for help. There were 4-5 ladies laughing and talking to each other . Asked for help. No body bothered to come and help.

Store manager "D" unwilling to exchange an item with a gift receipt from "too long ago". I work out of town in remote areas and have been unable to attempt an exchange for a different colour until now.
Met with no empathy for a simple exchange. I'll not be returning.

I’m rating this store only because of a visit to the store wanting to return a pack of Nike boxers a couple of months ago - the experience was too appalling to ignore even today. I originally bought the boxers from the Yorkdale store a week prior but the size was wrong. They were never worn and within the return period. Because I live closer to the Markham store, so I popped in thinking it would be a quick in and out. But I was stunned and disappointed with how the store handled it. The person who appeared to be some kind of management said to me that they could not accept the return because it was my fault to pick a wrong size, and further suggested that I should go back to the Yorkdale store and talk to them. Since when customers are not allowed to return due to wrong size and since when customers are not allowed to return to any store they chose? Additionally he was arrogant and almost rude. I think perhaps the owner became so profit driven that they forget what amounts to be basic “customer service”. A few days later I returned it to the Newmarket store with no questions asked.
