THANK YOU YONGYI, JEFF, JASON at Sporting Life MARKHAM. I ordered new pro ski boots online for a fraction of their cost ($199 vs $599) at Sporting Life but they didn't fit me!! The boot wasn't WIDE enough. I called the store and JEFF (dept. Mgr) put my anxiety to rest when he asked me to come in for a proper fitting regardless of the fact the boots were a final sale price and no exchanges were written in the fine print. I met YONGYI who spent over an hour with me getting me properly fitted and provided me with a selection of ski boots to choose from that matched my skill level and budget. YONGYI's ski boot fitting craft and service was excellent. The dept. Mgr -JASON not only allowed me to exchange the boots but he also provided me with added incentive to purchase the perfect boots for my needs. I also used their SERVICE DEPT to fit the new boots to my ski bindings at a very reasonable charge. I experienced great service and people at the Markham store! I frequent this Sporting Life for my family's sporting equipment, over the years I've gotten great help with bikes, skis, helmets etc. Staff is helpful, friendly, and generally knowledgeable about the specific equipment I was shopping for. This is a relatively big box store so the service you receive from an individual can vary.

Very bad service. They dont answer the phone for pick up orders as instructed in their email. Had to go in and deal with a rude employee. What is the point of ordering online for pickup if there is not a counter for pickup in the store. Very long lines. 3 cashiers only running

The person works around ski equipment section was extremely helpful today, I asked for help around closing time, he still assisted me with patience. The cashier was also very kind. As someone shop a lot for sports equipments. I’d say the service here is way better than sportchek….

Literally the worst sporting life location ever. I was looking for a specific jacket and their website said they had it in stock. I called multiple times just to confirm that they had it but obviously so answer. So I decided to make my way up there from downtown Toronto. Funny enough I walked in to the store and it wasn’t even that busy…. Don’t know why they didn’t pick up. Either way they didn’t have what I was looking for. My time and money was wasted. Zero Stars

The worst waxing and running service in Toronto. We are disappointed with the service. We have spent almost 60$ with 5 star snowboarding’s tuning service plus additional fixing service. The quality of service is very bad and they are not professional. Looks they just randomly cleaned up corrosion. We have asked followed up again but they said it is impossible to clean up. The snowboard is also dirty when they gave back to us. There are some wax in the front of snowboard.

Bought my board and got my board bindings bound here, bindings broke of 3 rides after I got the boards bindings bound. Also bought boots here, they gave me not only the wrong size of boots, they gave me 2 completely different boots. If you want to buy sporting equipment I would recommend to go to any sporting goods shop that is not this one, poor customer service, staff has no knowledge, I’m convinced they only let idiots work at this shop. Really, please do not come here to buy anything

The Markham Sportinglife located in Markville Mall is the worst location across Ontario. They provide zero customer service. Staff has no knowledge, poor customer service, never pick up the phone, lost your reserved items. All scenarios you name it! I would not come to their Markham location to shop. I'd recommend to go somewhere else.

This should be ZERO star!!I bought a pair of boots from their online website but received a totally different pair of boots. The packaging and the shoe box seems to be a return pair because the tissue paper inside the box is all yellowed and obviously someone changed the shoes inside the box. They claim they ship me the correct pair after contacted their shipping team and just rejected my claim. As a customer,When I purchased something online, I expect to be shipped/arrived on time and obviously the correct item.I just filed a dispute with my credit card for this non sense issue. Sporting Life please contact me if you have any other resolution for this bad experience I have shopping with your online store.
