Stay away from this store. They tried to cheat my husband. My husband brought skis to have adjusted. He needed boots. They showed him a pair of boots for $650. He bought boots elsewhere. When he brought the boots to be adjust on skis they said they were too old. If he would have bought skis at the store they would have been fine. Seems like they don’t care about customer and just bottom line.

Absolutely excellent experience. I bought my ski poles 8 years ago and one of them bent in an accident. This shop fixed it for free! On another note, I had to insert ankle plates and screws during an fracture surgery and this shop also refit my boots for free to accomodate the screws. Other big box stores may sell you stuff at cheaper initial price during sale, but station ski n ride is actually the cheapest place to buy your equipments from because it comes with life time product support!

I have been very pleased with the boot fitting service at Station Ski. I bought boots here a few months ago. They fit well in the shop but on the hill after the lining had been packed out a bit the boots were no longer tight enough. There was a bit of heel lift and the ankle did not feel secure. I came in for an adjustment (this is free if the boots were purchased at Station Ski and Ride but costs money if they were not) and Mark was very helpful. I am not sure what he did exactly but afterward the boot fit wonderfully. If you compare the cost of purchasing a pair of boots at Station Ski to Sportchek you will see that it is cheaper at Sportchek during sales. But most boots need to be adjusted at some point if you want a good fit. And after factoring the cost of a single adjustment then the cost is about even. If you need more than one adjustment over the years then you will save money by purchasing your boots at Station Ski in the first place.

Amazing service! Kai helped me out a lot. I came in as a beginner skier with no knowledge and the team really helped me find the perfect equipment. They were incredibly patient and I would recommend this place to everyone no matter their ski or snowboard experience.

Brought some winter gear back to get a refund within 7 days because they didn’t fit, staff / owner(?) told me it costs a few dollars everytime I bring something back and made me feel bad about it… if you don’t want people to bring items back for refund, then don’t offer a refund!! instead of making the customer feel bad about it…. won’t visit again.

OUTFIT YOUR SKI RACER HERE!I am so thankful to have found this place! My son and I were in the area from an 1hr 1/2 away and happened upon this place via 'ski store near me' Google search. My 12 year old son needed to be fully outfitted for the U14 season and we got EVERYTHING we needed (except for the race suit) in one stop. BOTH SL and GS skis, custom fitted race boots, both sets of poles, helmet and chinguard. ALL 3 gentlemen (owner included) made sure he got fitted with just the right fit equipment and explained everything thoroughly. The 2 lovely ladies that were there were also helpful and eager to find what we needed. As well, it was a fun experience as everyone was very sociable, friendly and personable. There was no rushing or feeling like we were just another sale. Knowing we were not local they got right to custom fitting his boots and bindings while we waited so that we wouldn't have to make another trip. But we will be back and often!I have been and will continue to tell everyone on our ski team to give Station Ski and Ride in Markham a chance to earn their business.

This is a follow up to my earlier review. Great staff - I visit Station for skiing as not riding much anymore. There's a significant benefit to having a staff trained to understand boot fitting. The honest truth is through decades of skiing and ski racing, I have always suffered through pain in ski boots. I had assumed it was a part of the experience (I guess I liked skiing more than the pain hurt). I have worked with very nice chaps at most of the major ski retailers here in Toronto, Tremblant, and a couple in Whistler.Station was the first place I've been fit where I've discovered that a no-pain ski boot is possible. Advice from Mark has lengthened my ability to ski (middle aged... huh), taken freezing cold boots and pain out of the equation, and let me focus on skiing with my kids. Only place I will go now.
