We bought a brand new mercury engine from McKellar. Broke it in as we were supposed too. The engine started having issues and 4.5 months later took it back to be diagnosed. They said we had too much engine oil and the spark plugs fouled. Blamed us charged us over $500 but they were the ones who got the engine ready for us. We had done nothing to the oil or plugs. The comment from staff was “we hear that excuse all the time”. Well McKellar. Take a step back and see the common denominator if you hear this all the time. Horrible service on something that should have been covered under warranty as it was McKellar who prepped the motor for us. Not recommended.

The service was slow for the weekend and it took the guys 2 weeks plus to inspect and do maintenance/repair on my friends 4.5 hp motor. It should not take this long to throw a little motor on the bench and have a look at it. Owner was friendly enough and helped me find a part for my motor. Just that me being the messanger for a friend of mine and not knowing what is happening with the motor for 2 weeks is not well taken by my friend even though the motor was purchased from them few years earlier. Guess the little guys with small motors get put a side while they work on big motors where they can make more coin.

Amazing service! Had a issue with my seadoo rxpx300 and needed a set of spark plugs. Not only did he bring them in for me within two days but also the price was better then my local dealer! If you own a seadoo or any boat and require anything from parts to service I highly recommend this place! Also the one star reviews I suggest you read them. One guy left a boat three seasons and complains about work being done which is completely ridiculous and the other guy says the lake is deep but in Many spots there are rocks that are very shallow... I wouldn’t be surprised if they did hit a rock... clearly inexperienced boaters complaining about regular stuff

Left my boat there over three seasons. First year they did repairs that were not authorized. Removed batteries for trawling motor claiming they were too old. Never saw them again. They were told never to do any work without authorization again. That didn't do the trick. Every time there was additional work costing hundreds of dollars performed without my knowledge. In my opinion they are dishonest and scamming people with costly unnecessary repairs and that's assuming they actually replace the parts and do the work they charge for. Avoid this place like fire or pay the consequences. You've been warned.
