Church was Ok, but the ENTRANCE FEE $10 was NOT, Just to attend the Mass is $10, Jesus said don't make my God's Kingdom like business, the Native people are Free, what's the difference from me, maybe $1 for maintenance is enough, so when giving tight (donation), i'm thinking I gave already to the entrance fee, (just a real talk) no hard feelings,

Nice church, with interesting interior and pleasant grounds. However, relatively new and modern, it lacks a unique character.

I love the place and I take the family there often... however I hate to be the guy that complains about the house of God but charging $10 per person just to get in and another $5-$10 to light a candle is no longer the house of God....Matthew 21:13 "And Jesus said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves."

My visit to Martyrs shrine is very emotional and full of excitement. I am very deeply moved after seeing photos of Lord Jesus, Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene and Martyrs; tears come down from my eyes. I bow my head with deep gratitude and devotion.

A very nice complex to visit. Lots of space to picnic. They have multiple services on Sundays and even a parade with some of the parishioners. The entrance fee on the Sunday we visited was $10 per adult.

"This Martyrs' Shrine of Huronia bears witness to the rich heritage that has been handed on to the whole Church. At the same time it is a place of pilgrimage and prayer, a monument to God's blessings in the past, an inspiration as we look to the future..." - Pope John Paul IIMartyrs' Shrine has been a holy and historic place of worship for nearly 100 years and continues a nearly 400 year story of love and discovery with St. Jean de Brébeuf and his companions. There is much to discover and explore, and on this page we can only give you a glimpse into the Shrine's rich history. Martyrs' Shrine is more than just a beautiful old building. It is a place of worship, a place to meet, a sanctuary, a haven, a celebration, a place of joy and occasionally sadness, but most of all it is alive with the people who make the Shrine what it is today. The Martyrs’ Shrine welcomes over 100,000 visitors annually, was once home to the Canadian Martyrs and has been visited by Saint Pope John Paul II among others. The Shrine is a unique blend of early modern Indigenous-European tradition and discovery that inspired and influenced the formation of Canada as we know it today. We hope that you can join us in person and are here to help you as you learn more about the our holy site.We visit Marty's Shrine in August every single year for over 30 years now ?

Amazing Church... There's a belief that if you offer 3 prayer requests, the following year you'll visit again to offer thanks for having received those prayer requests. Post COVID they are now charging visitors $10/head, preferably cash. Weekends are very busy, so if you would like to explore the place, weekdays would be ideal. ??
