It is completely disheartening as to the false complaints I've read in some of the other reviews on here. It is impossible of there being any "hidden costs" or "unnoticed expenses". During my 12 passenger van rental, I was explained the expenses and fees I would be paying for my trip and had to initial on the agreement before proceeding any further. I'm sure this is standard practice with all of their customers.

very good rental agency, the cheapest in Canada and USA combined, very accommodating recent cars and all types.

Fantastic customer service in a very difficult time for us. My father just passed away unexpectedly and my family and I were going to have to fly to Toronto on Christmas day for the funeral the next week. We couldn’t find a vehicle that would fit the 6 of us and a Google search indicated that Airport Auto was closed on Christmas day so I didn’t initially try them. I finally did call in desperation, explained our situation and Mr. Harjit Singh said to not worry about it, they would arrange to be there (even though they were closed) and have a minivan for us. Not only was this a huge help and relief for us but the price was much better than anything else we looked at (even though none of them were available). It turns out that the funeral arrangements have been changed so we don’t have to fly up right away and won’t need to rent a vehicle but I can’t stress how appreciative we were for Mr. Singh’s kindness and will always use Airport Auto for any future trips to the area. Thank you so much guys.

Massive research to find out border crossing and multi state. Booked because cheapest and avoid airport. But lied about insurance to 500k compulsory in Canada. Charged airport surcharge when not at airport and not in quote. Charged miscellaneous charges when they didn’t apply. Had to do through bill with a fine tooth comb and dispute incorrect overcharging. Also had to research insurance law and dispute extensively. If we weren’t strong people and sure of the law and read the fine print we would have been bullied into being ripped off. Finally after blue in the face, the owner agreed to adjust 3 overcharges. We rang them to pick us up on the return drop off. A junior worker picked us up. We got to the office mid-afternoon – it was locked up and no one around. The driver said he didn’t have a key or access – and then left in his car. Business didn’t answer phone. Had to wait ½ an hour. Asked other Indian business owner next door how long the car rental had been in business. He said 2-3 years. When we asked the owner he said 7 years – the truth seemed irrelevant with many responses. The car was modern and good condition. And the company was one of few allowing border crossing. It was one of the cheapest companies– which it should be as it was not a big or known or chain or brand. We still felt shafted because of the lies and deceptive cheating way the guy did business. But felt somewhat better that some adjustment was made – but only after having to get really unpleasant.

Great rental experience. Rented a Toyota Corolla from them, the car was clean on the inside and out! Rental agents were kind, courteous and respectful. They even picked me up from my mechanics shop! Definitely recommend this company!

I was travel from USA to Toronto. I forgot to reserve a car so I just Google it I find Airport Auto Rental I call them to rent car so they come to pick me up from airport within 10 minutes. they offer me very good deal I was so happy with a price they offer me. I will definitely recommend AAR to GTA travels. If you going to GTA give them call for good deal or match up any price from other rental company's. After I check with some other rental company's first they offer me good price BUT after they add in so many different fee's so They didn't bet up the price I had Airport Auto Rental. I know this rental company is small. I use to think all big rental company are good chose to rent car from but I was wrong their are some company are good. so give AAR call for good deal They give me very good service.

Unfair business practices. Charged penalty for what shouldn't. Failedto provide an itemized list and reasons behind extra charges. Locatednear airport and hooked with hotels for one-time customers, - thiscompany is not oriented at returning customers.Rented a car from them mid October 2012. Was going to Niagara Falls.First time in Canada, so rented also a GPS navigator from them andasked for an advice on directions. Company representative installedthe GPS and laid down the path to follow. One moth later my creditcard got charged additional $38. Despite multiple phone calls andinquiries they failed to document reasons for extra charges. I wastold over the phone that less than a half of it was a fee for a tollroad, while the rest is a penalty, which this company (Airport AutoRental) charges for not informing them of using the toll road. (What Idiscovered is that there is an alternate route from Niagara Falls toToronto that I must have taken - Highway 407 from the QEW at Hamiltonto Toronto. (google it). "It is an electronic toll road with no way topay. The car owner must either have a transponder or will have thelicense plate photographed and an invoice sent to the owner. Since theowner is the car rental company, they add the toll charge to yourcredit card along with a hefty administrative fee."The company dismissed my complaints on unfair penalty charges (giventhat they were the ones who showed the path to take they should knowwhich way I was going). Still waiting to see a bill or an itemizedreceipt.
